Patent number: 6775457Abstract: A device holder (10) adapted to be used in an optical module box (2) for retaining WDMs (1). The device holder is injection molded and made of a specific thermoplastic material that can help maintain a normal operating temperature of the WDMs mounted in the optical module box. The device holder comprises a mounting substrate (12), a plurality of protrusions (14) extending upwardly from the substrate, and two side mounting beams (161a) and a middle mounting beam(161b). Adjacent protrusions form mounting grooves (15) for retaining the WDMs therein. The device holder is mounted to the bottom of the optical module box by screws.Type: GrantFiled: June 10, 2002Date of Patent: August 10, 2004Assignee: Hon Hai Precison Ind. Patent number: 6775144Abstract: A computer enclosure includes a hood (10), a chassis (30) with a frame (40) mounted therein, and a fastener (60) securing the hood on the chassis. The hood has aligned hooks (12). The frame defines aligned first slits (422). The fastener includes a sliding plate (62) slidably attached on the frame, a pivot plate (64) pivotably attached on the frame, a handle (66) pivotably attached to the hood, and a spring (68). The sliding plate defines aligned second slits (624), and a transverse slot (627) movably receiving a protrusion (644) of the pivot plate therein. The hooks are extended through the first and second slits to snappingly engage with the sliding plate in the second slits. When the handle is pressed down, it rotates the pivot plate, and the protrusion of the pivot plate pushes the sliding plate to a position where the hood is easily removed.Type: GrantFiled: November 27, 2002Date of Patent: August 10, 2004Assignee: Hon Hai Precison Ind. Patent number: 6095853Abstract: A connector assembly includes an insulative unitary housing defining an upper section and a lower section wherein each section defines a plurality of passageways for allowing a corresponding number of contacts extending therethrough for receipt within the mating port thereof. A pair of side walls are provided on two lengthwise opposite ends of the housing wherein the upper portion of each side wall is shorter than the lower portion thereof. The upper portion defines an upper boardlock receiving region and the lower portion defines a lower boardlock receiving region whereby both of the upper boardlock and the lower boardlock have mounting legs extending downward out of the bottom surface of the housing for reaching the PC board on which the connector assembly is mounted and wherein the leg of the lower boardlock is aligned with and in front of that of the upper boardlock in a front-to-end direction.Type: GrantFiled: December 30, 1997Date of Patent: August 1, 2000Assignee: Hon Hai Precison Ind. Patent number: 6039595Abstract: An electrical connector for connecting a memory module to a circuit board comprises an elongate housing, a number of contacts and an ejector. The housing includes an elongate body and a pair of arms extending from opposite ends of the body. The body includes a plurality of cavities formed in opposite side walls thereof and an elongate slot defined between the side walls in communication with the cavities for insertion of the memory module. The slot is slightly wider than the memory module. Each arm defines a channel in an inner surface thereof in communication with the slot of the body for guiding the memory module into the slot. A pair of elongate ribs project from inner surfaces of opposite side walls of each arm for abutting against the memory module thereby restricting movement of the memory module along a lateral direction. The contacts are received in the cavities of the housing and exposed to the slot of the housing for mating with the memory module.Type: GrantFiled: August 3, 1999Date of Patent: March 21, 2000Assignee: Hon Hai Precison Ind.
