  • Patent number: 9579174
Abstract: This invention is achieved to provide a water-flow ultrasonic oral-cavity cleaning device. In the water-flow ultrasonic oral-cavity cleaning device (1), cleaning liquid (W1) from a cleaning-liquid supplying device (2) is supplied into a transducer case (21) through a supply port (26). Ultrasonic waves (S1) are propagated into the cleaning liquid W1 from an ultrasonic transducer (22) mounted in a transducer mounting part (23) inside the transducer case (21). The water-flow of the cleaning liquid (W1) is collected at the apical-part inside the transducer case (21), and then emitted from the issue (27) into the oral cavity, wherein power supply of 100W or less is supplied to the ultrasonic transducer (22) of 50 mm or less in diameter to propagate the ultrasonic waves (S1) of 100 kHz or more to 3 MHz or less in frequency into the cleaning liquid (W1).

Abstract: Disclosed is a tidal current meter that measures the velocity of a tidal current. The tidal current meter includes an oscillator, a calculation section, a depression angle setup section, and a drive section. The oscillator is capable of transmitting an ultrasonic wave into water and receiving the reflection of the transmitted ultrasonic wave. The calculation section calculates the velocity in accordance with the Doppler shift frequency of the reflection received by the oscillator. The depression angle setup section sets a depression angle, that is, the angle formed by the transmission direction of the ultrasonic wave and a horizontal plane. The drive section drives the oscillator in such a manner as to transmit the ultrasonic wave and receive the reflection of the transmitted ultrasonic wave at the depression angle set by the depression angle setup section.

  • Patent number: 6490227
Abstract: An ultrasonic sensor is located in the bottom of a lift cylinder of a forklift and emits ultrasonic waves toward a piston in the cylinder. A controller controls the ultrasonic sensor to consecutively emit ultrasonic waves that have different amplitudes at predetermined intervals. The ultrasonic waves are emitted in order of smallness of amplitude. The controller computes the distance between the ultrasonic sensor and the piston based on a period from when the ultrasonic sensor emits one of the ultrasonic waves to when the ultrasonic sensor receives the ultrasonic wave that is reflected by the piston. As a result, the range of the detectable distances is extended.
