Abstract: In a gas turbine power generation system having a gas turbine engine and a generator connected to the engine, maintenance ease is enhanced by forming the housing to have openable maintenance faces at two of its faces. Installation space is reduced and a compact configuration is achieved by providing a partition that divides the interior space of the housing into two regions into an upper bay and a lower bay, mounting the engine in the upper bay and mounting air intake duct in the lower bay at a location directly under the engine. Noise is reduced by using a partition to define two separate spaces (bays) and mounting the engine and the air intake duct in the upper and lower bays. Noise is also reduced by preventing engine rotation noise from escaping to the outside through the air intake duct.
Abstract: An electric power steering apparatus is disclosed which includes an electric motor having less cogging to thereby provide a comfortable steering feel. The electric motor includes an annular outer stator and an inner rotor positioned within the outer stator. The outer stator has circumferentially arranged stator windings of nine or a multiple of nine poles. The inner rotor has circumferentially arranged permanent magnets of eight poles. The permanent magnets are radially magnetized, and have N and S poles alternately arranged circumferentially. Three or a multiple of three poles of the stator windings are connected in series and driven by three-phase electric power.
Abstract: Cable guides for keeping the push-pull cable in mesh with a pinion are effectively reinforced by a member connecting the free ends of the cable guides. In particular, even when the cable guides are made of a plastic member, and the push-pull cable drive unit is subjected to high temperature environments, the meshing between the cable and the pinion is ensured. Thus, the present invention provides a stable and reliable operation of the push-pull cable drive unit with a simple and economical arrangement. This arrangement is particulalry useful for automotive sunroofs.
Abstract: A clutch drum has a drum main body made of a metallic plate which is formed into a cup shape by drawing. Spline teeth for engaging with clutch plates are formed by pressing on a periphery of the drum main body. Pulsing teeth for detecting a rotational speed are formed by pressing on the periphery of the drum main body. An apparatus for manufacturing the clutch drum has a forming die onto which the drum main body is externally set in position. The forming die has formed thereon first tooth spaces corresponding to the spline teeth and second tooth spaces corresponding to the pulsing teeth. First tooth-shaped punches are provided so as to be movable radially back forth to form by pressing the spline teeth by urging the periphery of the drum main body into the first tooth spaces.
