Abstract: The apparatus for managing the entry and exit of a shared vehicle, comprises: a vehicle position detector provided in the shared vehicle; a position determining device for determining whether the position of the shared vehicle is within an entrance area of a parking lot, based on the vehicle position information provided by the vehicle position detector; an arrival determining device for determining whether a main switch of the shared vehicle has been turned off within the entrance area; a return operation determining device for determining whether a user of the vehicle has conducted a return operation using a terminal for conducting rental and return operations; and a return determining device for confirming the return of the shared vehicle when the arrival determining device determines that the main switch has been turned off within the entrance area and when the return operation determining device determines that the return operation has been conducted.

Abstract: A metal gasket assembly for a cylinder head includes a pair of elastic metal substrates each having an outer shape which conforms with the outer shape of the gasket assembly, cylinder openings corresponding to cylinders in the cylinder head, a peripheral region surrounding the cylinder opening, which may be greater in thickness than remaining region of the relevant substrate, and a bead in the peripheral region. The substrates are superimposed with each other with top portions of the beads of the substrates in abutment with each other. A by-plate may be arranged between the substrates and has an increased thickness in its peripheral region which surrounds the cylinder opening and which is in direct abutment with the top portions of the beads in the substrates.

Abstract: In a valve operating system for an internal combustion engine comprising a valve-operation driving force transmission means interposed between a valve operating camshaft and an engine valve carried in a body of the internal combustion engine for opening and closing operation of the engine valve, a valve operation mode changeover mechanism capable of switching the opening and closing mode of the engine valve in accordance with the operating condition of the engine, and a wrapping connector type transmission system provided between the valve operating camshaft and a crankshaft, the valve operating system further includes a tension adjusting means capable of adjusting the tension of a transmitting band of the wrapping connector type transmission system, and a control means for controlling the operation of the tension adjusting means in accordance with the operation mode of the valve operation mode changeover mechanism.
