    Abstract: A pair of brackets (25, 30) are provided on either side of a seat back frame (10), each bracket defining a support hole (27, 31) for rotatably supporting a support shaft (41) of an arm rest, and a guide slot (28, 32) for guiding a corresponding guide pin (42B, 42C) of the arm rest along an arcuate path centered around the corresponding support hole. The two guide slots are offset from each other, and the guide pins are offset from each other in a corresponding manner in side view so that the two brackets may be offset from each other. Thereby, the layout of the brackets for rotatably supporting the arm rest can be selected in an advantageous manner.

    Abstract: A fuel cutoff valve 10 has a float assembly 52 and an upper valve plug 60 located in a valve chest 30S defined by a casing 20.     Abstract: A mold and a die-cast manufacturing method for the die-cast product, in which a main frame which is contiguously formed with a head pipe constitutes a portion of a hollow light-weight-metal-made vehicle-body frame. The mold includes a core for forming an inner space of the hollow vehicle-body frame. The core includes a core body and a plurality of splints mounted on the core body, the splints having approximately elliptical cross-sectional shapes. The long axes direction of ellipses of the splints are set parallel to a mold split surface of the mold. As a result, measurement of the positional accuracy of the splints is facilitated, a clearance between the splint and the mold can decrease by increasing the dimensional accuracy of splint mounting portions of the mold based on sizes of the splints, and the frame can be manufactured with high dimensional accuracy.

    Abstract: A pressure sensitive paint is applied to the surface of a measurement object main body of a wind tunnel and is irradiated with an excitation light from a luminescent sheet and excited to generate phosphorescence so that an intensity of the phosphorescence that corresponds to the pressure on the surface of the measurement object main body can be measured to determine a pressure distribution on the surface. The luminescent sheet is disposed within the measurement object main body made of a light transmitting material. The entirety of the pressure sensitive paint can be uniformly irradiated with the excitation light without applying the excitation light from a plurality of light sources disposed outside the measurement object main body, thereby enhancing the accuracy with which the pressure distribution is measured. The flexible luminescent sheet conforms to the shape of the three-dimensional curved surface of the measurement object main body.

    Abstract: After the pressure of the gas in a first chamber reaches the maximum value, the cover for the air bag is broken up. The cover is broken at the pressure of the maximum value, and there is almost no waste of the gas energy. Thus, the cover can be broken up by the small amount of the gas energy and the heat losses are extremely reduced, so that the amount of the gas generating agents are made small. Also, the cover is broken by the burning of the first chamber and the air bag is inflated at the first stage by expansion and inertia of the gas. There is provided a mechanical timing for ignition delay, and then the bag is fully inflated by the burning of a second chamber. Therefore, the bag can be desirably inflated.
