Abstract: A printed circuit board (PCB) includes an edge-component welded to the edge, which includes a plurality of pins. The PCB includes a base board and at least one slot set at edges of the base board. The pins are plugged into the base board through the at least one slot, the at least one slot is set right below the pins, and the position of the at least one slot is designed without copper pouring. In production, copper foil in the at least one slot is cut off, preventing the pins from touching the copper foil on the base board.

Abstract: An electronic device, includes a housing, at least one cable received in the housing, and at least one cable positioning mechanism secured to the housing for fastening the cable. The cable position mechanism defines a receiving portion for receiving the cable. The receiving portion further receives glue to fasten the cable.

Abstract: A monitor for a computer includes a display screen, a frame fixing the display screen, a display circuit, a personal system (PS)/2 keyboard interface, a power circuit, and a monitor video interface. The PS/2 keyboard interface is disposed on the frame, and includes a data signal pin, a clock signal pin, a power pin, and a ground pin. The power circuit powers the display circuit and the PS/2 keyboard interface. The monitor video interface includes video pins, first and second idle pins. The video pins are connected to the display circuit. The first idle pin is connected to the data signal pin. The second idle pin is connected to the clock signal pin.

Abstract: An input system includes a keyboard, an emitting apparatus, and a receiving apparatus. The keyboard includes a number of signal pins. The emitting apparatus includes a number of keys, an encoder, and an emitter. When one of the keys is pressed, the encoder outputs a first signal and the emitter converts the first signal to a wireless signal. The receiving apparatus includes a decoder and a receiver. The decoder includes a number of outputs. The outputs of the decoder are connected to the signal pins of the keyboard respectively. The receiver receives the wireless signal of the emitter and reconverts the wireless signal to the first signal. The decoder decodes the first signal and the outputs of the decoder outputs a decoded signal. The decoded signal is used to control voltage level of the signal pins.

Abstract: An apparatus for video graphics array (VGA) testing includes a connector, a switch, and an output. The connector has at least one signal output pin. The signal output pin of the VGA connector is connected to the output via the switch. The output can be coupled with an oscilloscope or other similar signal analyzing device. It is simple and efficient to use the apparatus for coupling a VGA connector of a computer with an oscilloscope in the VGA testing process.

Abstract: A cover assembly includes a panel defining an opening therein for allowing a storage device to move in or out therethrough, a cover shielding the opening, a connecting member, and an elastic member. The connecting member is pivotably connected to the panel through a first pivoting mechanism formed therebetween along a first axis, and is pivotably connected to the cover through a second pivoting mechanism formed therebetween along a second axis separate from and parallel with the first axis. The elastic member is arranged between the cover and the connecting member, for restoring the cover to shield the opening of the panel.

Abstract: A mounting apparatus is used to mount a fan having a bottom panel with a mounting hole defined therein. The mounting apparatus is configured to support the bottom panel on a top side thereof. The board forms a clip on the top side of the board, and defines a through hole adjacent the clip. The clip includes a elastic shank standing on the top side of the board, a flange formed on a top end of the shank and suspended over the shank, and a driving pole extending downwards from the shank and through the through hole of the board to have a driving end of the driving pole located below the board adapted to bend the shank. The clip is inserted in the mounting hole of the bottom panel with the flange engaging on a top surface of the bottom panel. The bottom panel is sandwiched between the flange and the top side of the board. The driving end of the driving pole is manually bendable to disengage the flange of the clip from the top surface of the bottom panel.

Abstract: A heat dissipation device for a hard disk drive includes a first heat sink and a control circuit. The first heat sink includes an input interface, a counter unit, a controller unit, and an output unit. The input interface is used for receiving an input signal, which is determined by a temperature of the computer system. The counter unit is used for generating a high level signal on counting to a predetermined value. The controller unit is used for generating a switch signal on receiving the high level signal, and sending a clear signal to the counter unit for clearing the counter unit. The output unit is used for being switched on or off according to the switch signal, and sending a control signal to the first heat sink. The control signal is able to drive the cooling end of the first heat sink to cool down.

Abstract: A system for automatically testing motherboards includes a test server (1), client computers (2), and a network (5) connecting the test server with the client computers. The test server is for storing a plurality of high-level OSs (Operating Systems), test programs and test script files, for setting contents of test configuration files, and for storing test results. Each client computer has a motherboard installed therein, and is operated under a DOS (Disk Operating System). The client computer downloads and installs a high-level OS from the test server, downloads and installs one or more test programs and a test script file according to a test configuration file set by the test server, executes the test script file to auto-run test programs in a sequence specified in the test configuration file, and then transmits test results to the test server.
