  • Publication number: 20120011371
Abstract: A method for securing indirect function calls by using program counter encoding is provided. The method includes inserting a decoding code for an address of a library function stored in a GOT (Global Offset Table) entry into a PLT (Procedure Linkage Table) entry when an object file is built; generating an encoding key corresponding to the decoding code; and encoding the GOT entry corresponding to the library function by using the encoding key when program execution begins.

  • Publication number: 20090202160
Abstract: A method for coding three-dimensional (3D) data, and more particularly for coding geometry data included in the 3D data. The method includes: generating a bounding box including a vertex of the 3D data based on information included in the geometry data; dividing the bounding box into a plurality of partitions having an equal size; identifying a number of vertices included in each divided partition; appointing a divided partition as a leaf cell based on the identified number of vertices; and coding the geometry data using information on the dividing of the bounding box, information on vertices included in each divided partition, and information indicating the position of a vertex included in the leaf cell, when a divided partition is subdivided.

  • Patent number: 7199773
Abstract: A magnetic display panel includes strips of first electrodes arranged in a first direction on an inner surface of a rear plate. Strips of second electrodes are arranged in a second direction, perpendicular to the first electrodes, and insulated from the first electrodes. Pixel electrodes are installed on each of the intersections of the first and second electrodes, and each has a spiral magnetic field producing unit electrically connected to the first and second electrodes. A magnetic film on the pixel electrodes has a magnetic gap through which a magnetic field produced by the pixel electrodes leaks. A magnetic fluid has a predetermined thickness on the inner surface of the rear plate. Such a display panel can provide moving pictures because of its improved responsivity, and, particularly, is easily fabricated at a low cost in large quantities because of its simple structure. Furthermore, the display panel is advantageous in building super-large display devices based on multiple integration.
