    Abstract: An apparatus for repairing high temperature process vessels while at or near their operating temperatures, which may be up to 3000.degree. F. The apparatus includes a lance, a welding apparatus at the distal end of the lance, and power supply and control cabling within the lance. The welding apparatus is contained within a protective housing and both the lance and the housing may be either air- or water-cooled.
