Abstract: A method is disclosed for treating or maintaining a hard surface comprising a stone or stone-like material, the method comprising treatment of the surface with a flexible pad, in the presence of abrasive particles, bonded to the pad, on a contact surface between the pad and the hard surface, wherein the abrasive particles comprise diamond particles, and the treatment is performed in the absence of an effective amount of crystallization agent on the contact surface. The treatment is performed on a substantially regular basis, such as daily, weekly or monthly, and the treatment is performed using a pad comprising an open, lofty, three dimensional non-woven webs of fibers. A tool for use in the method is also provided, as well as a floor-surfacing machine comprising such a tool and a method for manufacturing such a tool. Furthermore, methods for treating or maintaining hard, smooth surfaces such as wood, polymer material, lacquer, linoleum, gelcoat, glass and automotive enamel are disclosed.

Abstract: A separator device (1) for separating particles contained in an air stream comprises a cyclone separator (2) and a filter (3). The cyclone separator (2) comprises a casing (20) having a substantially conical portion (4). The casing (20) is at least partially surrounded by the filter (3), and the filter (3) and the cyclone separator (2) are arranged in a common housing (5). The device (1) is arranged such that particles collected by the cyclone separator (2) and particles collected by the filter (3), during operation, can be continuously deposited in a common collecting bag. A method for separating for separating particles contained in an air stream is also disclosed.

Abstract: A mobile machine for screeding floor surfaces and the like comprises a planet disk, which is rotatably supported and driven by a drive motor, and which carries at least one screeding disk, operatively connected to the drive motor and defining one screeding plane. The operative connection comprises at least one belt or chain running over a belt sheave connected to the screeding disk, and a belt sheave connected to the drive motor. The belt sheave of the screeding disk has a central stub axle forming part of an automotive wheel hub, comprising wheel bolts attached to said planet disk.

Abstract: The invention relates to an arrangement in a mobile machine for screeding floor surfaces. This comprises a housing with a planet disk (3), which is rotatably supported in the bottom of the said housing and driven by a drive motor (1). The planet disk carries a number of rotatably supported screeding disks, distributed over the planet disk (3) and operatively connected to the drive motor (1). According to the invention the number of screeding disks is an even number up to a maximum of six. Viewed in the direction of rotation of the planet disk (3), half the number of screeding disks have a direction of rotation coinciding with the planet disk (3) and the remaining screeding disks an opposing direction of rotation.

Abstract: A finishing machine (1) for finishing a work surface (20) which consists of a floor of terrazzo, marble, stone, concrete or the like, comprises at least two finishing units (3a, 4a; 3b, 4b; 3c, 4c, 300) which are supported by the frame (14, 100) of the finishing machine and which are arranged for grinding, polishing and/or machining of the work surface (20), and each machining unit comprises a motor (4a, 4b, 4c, 200) and a rotatably mounted working disc (41) driven by the motor. The finishing units (3a, 4a; 3b, 4b; 3c, 4c, 300) are individually tiltable relative to the frame (14, 100) about respective axes that are substantially parallel to the work surface (20).

Abstract: A grinding and/or polishing tool comprises a thin, substantially flat substrate, which has a grinding side to which grinding particles are applied, the substrate being substantially incompressible in a direction perpendicular to the grinding side, the grinding particles comprising diamond particles, and the grinding particles being fixed to the substrate by a curing plastic resin. Moreover, a grinding and/or polishing method is disclosed, in which such a grinding and/or polishing tool is used, and also a method of manufacturing such a grinding and/or polishing tool.

Abstract: The invention concerns a device for abrading a wall of stone or concrete material. The invention comprises a shell (2) with which is operationally connected an abrading head (1), and a carriage intended to move at least along the surface and support the shell (2) movably so that the abrading head (1) by means of the movement of the shell (2) performs an upward and downward abrading movement. The abrading head (1) is of the type which has a rotatably mounted and driven planet wheel with a number of driven abrading discs rotatably mounted thereon and fitted with abrading elements. The device has an element for placing the abrading head (1) with a predeterminable force against the surface to be abraded.

Abstract: The invention concerns a carrier plate (2) holding an abrading element, for detachable mounting on a rotatably mounted abrading plate (1) driven during use, for abrading stone or concrete floors, which carrier plate (2) has sides (2a, 2b) which form an acute angle with each other. The sides (2a, 2b) have flanges (2a1, 2b1) which are formed for surrounding engagement with a shoulder (1a) arranged on the abrading plate (1) so that the carrier plate (2) can be fixed on the abrading plate (1) with an engagement based on form and friction.

Abstract: A machining plate carries at least one machining element for the grinding, polishing and/or cutting of a floor surface. The machining element is arranged in a recess in the machining plate. The recess is at least partially provided with an elastic lining, so that the machining element is resiliently secured in relation to the machining plate.

Abstract: A method for dry finishing of a floor surface consisting of concrete, stone, marble, terrazzo, densite or other hard materials is disclosed. The method comprises finishing of the floor surface using a cutting, grinding and/or polishing tool. In the method, a vapor or aerosol is applied to the floor surface and/or the tool in connection with said dry finishing. An apparatus and a set of parts for carrying out the method are also disclosed.

Abstract: The invention relates to a device in a circular disk-shaped cleaning element intended for cleaning by means of a cleaning machine. The element is designed with a number of recesses (3) distributed over the active cleaning surface (2a) thereof Grinding elements (4) containing industrial diamonds and conventionally used for grinding stone and concrete floors are arranged in the said recesses. The grinding elements are fixed in such a way that in use they only come into light contact with the surface that is to be cleaned. The invention further relates to the use of a cleaning element in connection with wet cleaning conventionally performed with a cleaning machine. Alternatively the device may be used in such a way that dry polishing is first performed using the cleaning element, following which wet cleaning is carried out using a conventional cleaning element.

The holder plate carries at least two grinding elements where each of the grinding elements has the shape of a geometric body which is defined by two substantially parallel base surfaces spaced apart from each other and at least one side surface extending between the edges of the base surface. The base surfaces are substantially parallel with the holder plate and substantially oblong. The grinding element is arranged on the holder plate so that when the holder plate is mounted on the grinding plate, a longitudinal direction of the base surface concerned is substantially parallel with a tangent on the grinding plate.
