Abstract: A system for assuring the correct positioning of a film cassette in a cassette holder in a device in which documents are withdrawn from a holder and transported to a position where they are photographed utilizing the film in the cassette, in which at least one suction cup is attached to the cassette holder with the cup having an opening lying in a plane corresponding to the correct position of the cassette in the holder and the suction cup is connected to a vacuum system and a pressure-sensitive device which is responsive to the correct or incorrect position of the cassette in the holder to operate or disable the document withdrawal mechanism or its drive source.

Abstract: A device for feeding and stacking documents in a box uses a driven endless belt arranged to sweep tightly along an open side of the box whereby documents may be taken in succession from a feeding station along the belt to the box. The open side of the box is oriented substantially vertically for receiving and thus stacking the documents in an upright position, and a guide roller with an over-shooting guide sheet is located adjacent the bottom edge of the open side to guide upwardly the belt and any form thereon to the open side of the box and to a belt roller located at a higher level than the guide means, while forming an acute angle with the plane of the open side, so that the trailing edge of each document snaps out from contact with the guide sheet before its leading edge abuts a stop surface provided at the upper edge of the box.

Abstract: The invention refers to an unlocking and expelling mechanism for a drawer in a cabinet or a frame, preferably in cash registers, wherein a lock stud is secured to the back end of the drawer and is engaged, when the drawer is pushed in against a spring force, by a locking hook mounted on a pivot shaft rotatably supported in a fixed bracket. The shaft has a lateral projection for blocking a slidable latch which can be retracted from the projection by manually operating an electromagnet, so that the shaft will be free to rotate the hook to release the stud and allow expelling of the drawer. The improvement consists in providing a movable and guided connection between the hook and the pivot shaft so as to, when the shaft begins to rotate, the hook is imparted a reciprocating movement in its longitudinal direction. The hook has an aperture having a guiding edge for cooperation with a lifting pin fixed in the cabinet, said edge being inclined for lifting the hook in its forwards stroke caused by said shaft.

Abstract: A lock system for cash registers or the like which does not require rotational movement of a key. The system has a key, with a pattern of lugs and gaps along an edge thereof, and a lock containing one row of fixed and one row of movable contacts are urged against the fixed contacts, in accordance with the pattern of lugs and gaps on the key, to produce the desired function.

Abstract: A key in a keyboard for programmable computers, having its farther end recessed to form a nail-sparing shelf for carrying an exchangable mark or indicia. According to the invention the shelf serves as a seat for a flat and transparent pocket for receiving a removable lable carrying said mark, and having its insert opening blocked by the inner edge of the shelf.

Abstract: A cylinder lock wherein the insertion and rotation of a selected one of associated keys results in a projection of certain pins, mounted in a row parallel to the axis of the cylinder, radially beyond the cylinder surface in response to the irregularities of the key. The displaced pins effect a closing of contacts in a pattern to produce selected circuit functions. According to the invention the pins, when activated, deflect overlying respective parallel flexible wires extending transversely of the pin row. The deflected wires urge, via an insulated member, overlying movable contact reeds to engage overlying fixed contact members, so that circuits are closed as determined by the irregularities of the key.
