Abstract: A fan can include a motor for driving a set of blades to move a volume of air about a space. A cage can be provided to encase the set of blades to protect the fan, as well as permit a volume of air to move through the cage. A mount bracket couples to the cage, and can include a first portion including a first pair of hooks connecting the first portion to the cage, with the first portion including a pair of apertures and an attachment feature, and a second portion including a second pair of hooks connecting the first portion to the cage, with the second portion including a pair of extensions configured to secure to the first portion at the pair of apertures. The attachment feature is configured to couple an accessory to the cage via the mount bracket.
Abstract: A ceiling fan assembly having a motor with a rotor with multiple blade mounts, multiple blades having a removable blade tip, a balancing weight mount carried by the multiple blades and covered by the removable tip, and where each of the multiple blades are pre-balanced and indexed to a corresponding one of the multiple blade mounts.

Abstract: A ceiling mounted fan or ceiling fan includes a body defining an interior passage having an inlet and an outlet provided on the body. The inlet, outlet, and interior passage can be annular. An impeller mounted is mounted within the interior passage and driven by a motor mounted within the body to draw a volume of air through the interior passage from the inlet to the outlet. The impeller blades include a set of extensions extending from the tip.
Abstract: A ceiling fan assembly or similar air-moving device can include a motor for rotating one or more blades to drive a volume of air about a space. The ceiling fan assembly can include a motor assembly and a light kit. The light kit can include a light frame and a light glass holder. The light frame can selectively couple to the light glass holder by a threaded connection. The light kit, motor assembly, or between the light kit and motor assembly can further include one or more sealing or deflecting components.

Abstract: A ceiling fan having a dual redundant motor mounting assembly for suspending a motor comprising a downrod, a hollow motor shaft suspending the motor from the downrod, a retaining pin extending through the hollow motor shaft, and a retaining rod coupled to the retainer pin for redundantly suspending the motor.
Abstract: A ceiling fan assembly having a motor assembly with a rotating blade hub, and at least one fan blade mounted to the rotating blade hub with a blade span defined between a tip and a root, and defining an airfoil cross section including a rounded leading edge and a v-shaped trailing edge defining a chord therebetween. The blade comprising a pressure side surface and a suction side surface extending between the leading and trailing edges and including a hollow interior and including a tip opening at the tip and a root opening at the root for accessing the hollow interior. The at least one fan blade includes a thickness to chord ratio of less than about 15%.
