Abstract: A device for exhaust gas after treatment of motor vehicles has a pump device for supplying a solution to the exhaust gas manifold. The pump device is a metering pump having a connecting part that opens into the exhaust gas manifold. The pump device has a piston and a piezo element for actuating the piston. The pump device has a housing provided with a housing chamber. The connecting part is arranged in the housing chamber that is located at an end face of the housing. The pump device has a pressure chamber for receiving the solution. A first check valve closes off the pressure chamber relative to the connecting part. The housing of the pump device has a supply line, and the piston sucks in the solution from the supply line. The pump device has a second check valve for closing off the supply line.
Abstract: An actuating device for a transmission of a motor vehicle has a housing and two pistons moveably arranged in the housing. A coupling part is arranged between the two pistons and is acted on by the two pistons so as to be moved by the two pistons. The coupling part is connected to a shifting part of the transmission and is made, at least on a surface of the coupling part, of wear-resistant material. The two pistons are loosely seated on the coupling part so that these parts can align themselves properly relative to one another after mounting.

Abstract: An actuating device for hydraulically securing a camshaft of an engine of a motor vehicle in a start position has a solenoid valve controlling the flow of a pressure medium to a camshaft adjuster with a rotary slide valve that is fixedly connected to the camshaft and moves the camshaft into the required start position according to the pressure medium supplied to it by the solenoid valve.
Abstract: A device and method for the relative adjustment of the angle of rotation of a camshaft with respect to the crankshaft of an internal combustion engine that utilizes a hydraulically activated actuating element, through the adjustment of which the phase position of the camshaft can be directly or indirectly changed. The actuating element is bordered by two pressure chambers, which can be loaded with or relieved of hydraulic fluid via control lines. A control valve is provided, which, depending upon an operating state of the internal combustion engine, forces a flow of oil that is forced from an oil reservoir by an oil pump via a first control line to a first pressure chamber, while oil from a second pressure chamber is returned to the oil reservoir via a second control line, and vice versa. At least one controlled bypass is arranged between the two pressure chambers. In this manner, the speed of adjustment of the camshaft adjuster can be advantageously increased.

Abstract: A camshaft adjuster for internal combustion engines of motor vehicles has a stator having a casing and stays connected to the casing and projecting radially inwardly. A rotor rotatable relative to the stator is fastened on the camshaft. The rotor has a rotor base member and vanes connected thereto. The vanes project into spaces between the stator stays. The stays each have an end face that rest sealingly against the rotor base member. The vanes of the rotor each have an end face resting sealingly against an inner peripheral wall of the stator. At least one of the vanes of the rotor has a damping element and the stator has at least one counter damping element. Upon rotation of the rotor into its end position, the damping element interacts with the counter damping element and slows the movement of the rotor into the end position.

Abstract: A camshaft adjuster for motor vehicles has a stator and a rotor rotatable relative thereto between which pressure chambers are provided. Pressure medium is supplied in a controlled way via a valve to the pressure chambers in order to rotate the rotor relative to the stator. Mounting of the valve in the internal combustion engine of the motor vehicle is often difficult when mounting conditions are tight, sometimes even impossible. In order for the camshaft adjuster to be usable even in tight spatial conditions, the valve is arranged on the side facing away from the camshaft connection. The valve can therefore be arranged stationarily axially outside of the engine of the motor vehicle. The camshaft adjuster requires thus only little mounting space.
