Abstract: A hybrid switching module includes a hybrid switching module processor data channel; a hybrid switching module main data channel; an input/output link data channel; a switch coupled to the hybrid switching module processor data channel; and a bridge coupled to the hybrid switching module main data channel; wherein the switch selectively coupled to the bridge and selectively coupled to the input/output link data channel, wherein the hybrid switching module processor data channel is thereby selectively coupled to the bridge and selectively coupled to the input/output link data channel.

  • Publication number: 20030090916
Abstract: A power supply system for providing power from either a first power supply or a second power supply to an ultimate rectified output. The system consists of a first switch that couples the rectified output of the first power supply to the ultimate rectified output, and a second switch that couples the rectified output of the second power supply to the ultimate rectified output. When the first power supply is providing a voltage within a predetermined window and the first switch is closed, the first power supply provides an inhibit signal to the second switch of the second power supply that prevents the second power supply from providing power to the ultimate rectified output. Similarly, when the second power supply is providing a voltage within a predetermined window and the second switch is closed, the second power supply provides an inhibit signal to the first switch of the first power supply that prevents the first power supply from providing power to the ultimate rectified output.

  • Publication number: 20030038636
Abstract: A high efficiency electronic load has a switch mode power factor corrected (PFC) input rectifier circuit that provides a high voltage positive and negative direct current (DC) voltage to drive a switching inverter that in turn delivers an output alternating current (AC) back into an AC power line. The input PFC circuit is phase and frequency controlled by the input AC power line which allows the input and output to be operating at completely different frequencies.

  • Publication number: 20030011989
Abstract: A method for cooling electronic components comprising drawing air into a chassis; causing the air to come in contact with a corrugated deflector; and cooling electronic components with the air before the air exits the chassis. A fail safe system for cooling electronic components comprising a corrugated deflector; a plurality of fans, positioned such that they cause air to come in contact with the corrugated deflector; and an electronic component; wherein the electronic component is cooled by the air.
