Abstract: A dispensing screen for dispensing, by evaporation, volatile materials applied thereto, is provided. The screen comprises a sheet of material and diverting means formed in the plane of the sheet. The diverting means form a minimum path length along the length of the sheet between at least a portion of a first edge and an opposing second edge of the sheet, which minimum path length is longer than the distance between the first and second edges along the surface of the sheet. A dispensing apparatus is also provided, which in embodiments includes the dispensing screen of the invention, and in embodiments includes a sink for capturing un-evaporated volatile material.

Abstract: A dispenser for dispensing volatile material by evaporation comprises a reservoir for containing volatile material to be dispensed. The dispenser further comprises a dispensing screen for dispensing volatile material by evaporation, the dispensing screen comprising a sheet of material having continuous first and second edges and forming a continuous loop of material extending between the first and second edges. Communicating means can carry volatile material from the reservoir to an in use upper edge of the dispensing screen. The material of the dispensing means is acutely angled to an in use vertical axis of the dispenser.

Abstract: An emanator (24, 60) for a volatile material comprises an elongate element having a first plurality of fibres (12, 68) distributed along its length and extending therefrom or substantially perpendicular thereto. The emanator further comprises a fluid pathway for the conveyance of volatile material along the emanator. The pathway comprises one or more second fibres (14, 64) substantially extending in a direction along the length of the element.
