Patent number: 9309629Abstract: A roller assembly for facilitating movement of a switch rail between two positions. In one embodiment, the roller assembly includes a frame adapted for attachment to the switch rail and having a pocket formed therein, and an elastomer assembly, at least a portion of which is slidably disposed within the pocket. The elastomer assembly includes a roller wheel and an elastomeric block. The roller wheel travels along the surface of a tie plate when the switch rail is moved between positions. The elastomeric block is adapted to compress under a load applied to the switch rail in the direction of the tie plate, causing the roller wheel to retract in the direction of the pocket. When the weight of a train is exerted on the roller assembly, the compression of the elastomeric block causes the train to ride fully on the rails, just as if the roller assembly were not present. When no weight is exerted on the roller assembly, the roller assembly assists the switch to move freely between positions.Type: GrantFiled: April 3, 2013Date of Patent: April 12, 2016Assignees: IAT International, Inc., EKOSLIDE s.r.o.Inventors: Avraham Ashkenazi, Seth Fleishman, Ivo Chládek, Václav Suchan, Radek Lucovi{hacek over (c)}

Patent number: 7735773Abstract: The invention relates to an aircraft comprising a fuselage and at least two substantially hollow cylindrical lifting bodies which are applied to the fuselage and comprise a plurality of rotor blades which extend over the periphery of the lifting bodies, the periphery of the lifting bodies being partially covered by at least one tail surface. The aim of the invention is to provide an aircraft with an extremely high degree of maneuverability, compact dimensions and economy of fuel. To this end, the lifting bodies are driven by at least one drive unit and respectively comprise a cylindrical axis which is substantially parallel to a longitudinal axis (1a) of the aircraft.Type: GrantFiled: June 20, 2005Date of Patent: June 15, 2010Assignee: IAT 21 Innovative Aeronautics Technologies GmbHInventor: Meinhard Schwaiger

Patent number: 4804101Abstract: A container assembly for containing a commodity in a cylindrical primary container, and further including a cylindrical base and dispenser subassembly for receiving the cylindrical container, and for dispensing elongated, thin articles. The base and dispenser subassembly includes an upwardly extending peripheral flange, a downwardly extending peripheral flange and a transverse partition therebetween carrying the flanges. Parallel chordal partitions extend across, and substantially normal to, the transverse partition, and define a multiple article storage compartment. A dispenser closure cap includes an end plate which extends across the top of the article storage compartment. The end plate carries an annular outer flange which rotatably engages the downwardly extending peripheral flange. A mirror is affixed to the exterior of the end plate. In another form, the primary container may simply be formed as an integral part of the base and dispenser subassembly.Type: GrantFiled: March 2, 1988Date of Patent: February 14, 1989Assignee: IAT CorporationInventor: Bruce A.
