Abstract: Gaming systems and methods that randomly determine a quantity of ways to win for a play of a game by randomly determining a quantity of active symbol display positions to employ for that play of the game.
Abstract: A gaming system compatible with patron-controlled portable electronic devices, such as smart phones or tablet computers, is described. The gaming system can include electronic gaming machines that are compatible to receive both virtual ticket vouchers and printed ticket vouchers that are redeemable for credits on the electronic gaming machines. Information associated with a virtual ticket voucher can be stored on a patron-controlled portable electronic device and then can be wireless transmitted to the electronic gaming machines. The electronic gaming machines can be configured to issue virtual ticket vouchers and printed ticket vouchers that can be redeemed for cash or additional game play on another electronic gaming machine. In one embodiment, the electronic gaming machine can be configured to issue a virtual ticket voucher to a patron-controlled portable electronic device.

Abstract: A printed security-enhanced document, printing method, and system for ensuring that any printing defects present in the variable indicia also occur in the background on the document protected. By ensuring that random printing defects in the variable indicia also appear in the same document's background, detection of the printing defects becomes more readily apparent.

Abstract: In various embodiments, the system and method disclosed herein coordinates the access to persistent data amongst a plurality of disparate entities which otherwise have no player data sharing relationship with one another.
Abstract: A system which accumulates symbols and determines an award based on an event occurring (or not occurring) on a displayed game field associated with a sporting event interacting with a plurality of symbols overlaid on that displayed game field.
Abstract: An electronic gaming machine (EGM) is provided. The EGM includes a processor circuit and a memory device which stores a plurality of instructions, which when executed by the processor circuit, cause the processor circuit to perform operations. Operations include causing a display, by a display device and for a first play of a game, of a first plurality of symbols at a first plurality of symbol display positions associated with a plurality of reels. Operations include, responsive to an occurrence of a symbol display location modification event associated with a reel of the plurality of reels, modifying a location of symbol display positions associated with that reel. Operations include, responsive to a modified location of symbol display positions associated with that reel being a designated location, triggering a secondary event associated with an event zone associated with that reel.
Abstract: Gaming systems and methods that employ a plurality of mechanical reels for a plurality of plays of a plurality of different games, wherein the different games are associated with different attributes conveyed via a video transmissive display device.

Abstract: An electronic gaming system is capable of forming a multi-player group to play a game; receiving, from a first gaming device, first game play information for a first game played by a first player member of the multi-player group on the first gaming device; determining that the first game play information comprises a first winning outcome corresponding to a first winning outcome; in response, allocating the first winning outcome among the first and second player members; and notifying a second gaming device of the second player member that the second player member has received the second portion of the first winning outcome.
Abstract: Gaming systems, gaming devices and methods that provide games that control volatility. In one embodiment, the gaming system disclosed herein enables a player to select values, or cells associated with values, that are displayed in a particular arrangement. The player selected values are distributed to other values or cells according to one or more predefined rules. In one embodiment, one or more of the player selectable values are progressive award values. At some point during the game, the gaming system randomly picks one of the remaining values that have not been selected and provides an award to the player based at least in part on the selected value.
