  • Publication number: 20060202372
Abstract: The identification and location of possible faults of operation and/or installation of a hot runner are obtained through the measurement of the absorption of power by the heating resistors applied to the arms and to the injectors of the hot runner. The qualitative and quantitative analysis of the power absorbed by the resistors also enables identification of the type of possible faults and the corresponding seriousness.

  • Publication number: 20060108702
Abstract: An apparatus and a process for the moulding of articles made of plastic material with two components by means of a stack-mould press with a first cavity and a second cavity for the injection of the plastic material and the possible compression of the injected plastic material, in which the moulds and the countermoulds of the apparatus define respective mutually facing surfaces. Parameters indicating the mutual parallelism between said facing surfaces are detected, and the closing assembly for closing the press is controlled according to the parameters detected.

  • Publication number: 20060082030
Abstract: Described herein is injecto-compression moulding of articles made of plastic material with two components by means of a press of the stack-mould type, in which the first and second countermoulds are constrained to the corresponding moulds carried by the rotating central element of the press so as to enable the respective cavities to set themselves in a position of partial opening for the injection of the plastic material within them. To both of the cavities there is then applied a closing force to bring about compression of the plastic material injected therein.

  • Publication number: 20060076713
Abstract: Described herein is injecto-compression moulding of articles made of plastic material with two components by means of a press of the stack-mould type in which the moulding cavity of the second component is maintained in a position of partial opening during the injection and compression of the first component within the first moulding cavity. There is moreover provided a retention system, which is associated to at least one of said first and second cavities.

  • Publication number: 20060076710
Abstract: Described herein is a process for the production of plates made of transparent plastic material with non-transparent overmoulded parts by means of a first direct injection and subsequent compression for the formation of the transparent plate, and a second injection for overmoulding said parts on the transparent plate, covering the indicators or witness marks of the first injection. Each injection can be in spots controlled in sequence, and the second injection can be followed by a respective step of post-compression.

  • Publication number: 20050257367
Abstract: A method for producing components for injection moulding comprising a body made of thermally conducting material with expansion coefficient matching that of the insulating layers and provided with a passage for the material to be injected. At least one strip of electrically conducting material with high change of resistance with temperature, forming a heating resistor or inductor is applied on a electrically insulating base layer previously directly applied on the body. At least one final insulating layer with low thermal emissivity is then applied to optimise electrical efficiency. The method utilises thermal spray techniques and can be applied also for production of other heating equipment.
