Patents Assigned to Incoterm Corporation
  • Patent number: 4075460
Abstract: A cash dispensing system having a central computer and associated memory for maintaining customer account records, a plurality of remote transaction terminals and a communication path connecting the remote terminals with the computer. Each of the remote terminals includes a signal generator for generating data representative of a desired transaction in response to a customer-initiated operation, and for transferring that data to the computer via the communication path. The computer includes means responsive to the transaction data to generate a customer information file (CIF) signal and to transfer that signal to the remote terminal. The CIF signal is representative of a predetermined number associated with the customer. Each remote terminal includes a cash dispensing apparatus which includes a personal identification number (PIN) signal generator, a security device, a PIN signal transfer means, a CIF signal receiving means, and a cash dispenser.

  • Patent number: 4025905
Abstract: A branch banking system for on-line processing of banking transactions which is responsive to customer-initiated and teller-initiated operations and comprises a plurality of remote branch office terminals and a central controller for establishing transaction validity, maintaining transaction records and customer data. Each branch office terminal includes a branch controller in communication with the central controller and an associated plurality of branch teller stations, each including a teller unit and an associated set of peripheral units. Each teller station includes a teller data display which is responsive to the central controller, by way of its associated branch controller, to display alphanumeric data representative of the transactions.

  • Patent number: 3961160
Abstract: An apparatus for reading a digital data word stored on a manually inserted card. The card includes a digital data word comprising a plurality of encoded characters stored on the card in the form of a two dimensional data matrix. The card reader includes a linear array of row data detection elements and an array of one or more rows of column data detection elements, each row being disposed perpendicular to the array of row data detection elements. As a card is inserted into the reader, the column data detection elements detect and store the data bits for each of the characters from the rows of the data matrix as those rows pass the column data detection element array. A circuit means coupled to the row and column data detection arrays identifies the detected column data with the corresponding rows of the data matrix which are currently overlying the column data detection array. Following full insertion of the card into the reader, the complete data matrix may be read out from the card reader memory.

Abstract: An apparatus for reading a digital data word stored on a manually inserted card. The card includes a digital data word comprising a plurality of encoded characters stored on the card in the form of a two dimensional data matrix. Each column of the data matrix includes a binary data word representative of one of the encoded characters. The card reader includes a linear array of row data detection elements and a linear array of column data detection elements. As a card is inserted into the reader, the column data detection elements detect and store the data bits for each of the characters from the rows of the data matrix as those rows pass the column data detection element array. Following full insertion of that card into the reader, the complete data matrix may be read out from the card reader memory.
