Publication number: 20230158449Abstract: Described herein is a dry sorbent injection system and process for removing sulfur oxides from a flue gas. The process generally comprises treating the flue gas with a dry sorbent material to convert the sulfur oxides to sodium sulfate particulates. The sodium sulfate particulates may then be introduced into a mix tank with water to form sodium sulfate solution. The sodium sulfate solution may then be reacted with a calcium hydroxide slurry to produce a reaction mixture comprising calcium sulfate precipitate and a sodium hydroxide solution. The calcium sulfate (gypsum) may be recovered, and the sodium hydroxide solution may be recirculated to pre-treat the flue gas by removing at least a portion of the sulfur dioxide and/or cooling the flue gas stream.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 18, 2022Publication date: May 25, 2023Applicant: Industrial Accessories CompanyInventor: Pramodh Nijhawan

Publication number: 20200384400Abstract: A dust collector (10) includes upper and lower apertured tube sheets (40, 42) within a collector housing, with a plurality of vertically extending filter tube assemblies secured to upper tube sheet apertures (44) and extending downwardly toward the lower tube sheet (42). Each filter tube assembly (54) has a filter tube (56) optionally equipped with a lower weight assembly (58) placing the tube (56) in tension. Particulate-laden gas passes through the upper ends of the filter tubes (56) and downwardly therethrough, causing particulates to collect on the inner surfaces of the tubes (56). Such collected particulates are periodically removed by generating vacuum shock pulses which act on the tubes (56) to dislodge the particulates.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 8, 2020Publication date: December 10, 2020Applicant: Industrial Accessories CompanyInventor: Luis Jorge Castano

Patent number: 9322595Abstract: An improved, energy efficient method and apparatus for conditioning of fracturing sand provides an elongated, rotatable drying/cooling shell with co-current flow of heated air and sand through the shell. Structure operable to deliver additional quantities of wet sand into the shell is provided at a zone between the shell inlet and outlet, and downstream of the point where the initial quantity of wet sand is substantially dry. The additional quantities of wet sand mix with the initial quantities of substantially dry sand in order to evaporatively dry the additional quantity of wet sand, and to cool the initial and additional quantities of wet sand.Type: GrantFiled: September 16, 2014Date of Patent: April 26, 2016Assignee: Industrial Accessories CompanyInventor: Donald E. Patent number: 8695516Abstract: The present invention provides improved boiler assemblies (10) with enhanced pollution abatement properties through injection and recycling of particulate sorbent materials including sodium bicarbonate, trona, and mixtures thereof. The assemblies (10) include a boiler (12), economizer (14), air heater (15), and recirculation reactor (16). Fresh sorbent material is introduced via assembly (60) into the boiler assembly (10) at one or more injection locations, and serves to sorb NOx, SOx, and other pollutants in the flue gas. The flue gas and entrained sorbent material then pass through reactor (16) for separation of sorbent, which is then recycled for injection back into the assembly (10) upstream of reactor (16). In another aspect, the invention provides pollution abatement apparatus (110) and methods employing an upstream recirculation reactor (114), a supply of fresh sorbent (118), and a downstream collector (116).Type: GrantFiled: August 20, 2011Date of Patent: April 15, 2014Assignee: Industrial Accessories CompanyInventor: Pramodh Nijhawan

The present invention can also be used in industrial applications where the same emissions are generated and are needed to be controlled. Examples of such applications are Cement and Lime Kilns.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 21, 2009Publication date: October 21, 2010Applicant: Industrial Accessories CompanyInventor: Pramodh Nijhawan
