Patents Assigned to Industrial Insulation Group, LLC
  • Publication number: 20140004766
Abstract: A method for forming an insulation product based on a composite of mineral wool and another first material comprising the steps of: (1) forming mineral wool fibers using at least one fiberizing device; (2) introducing the first material to the formed mineral wool fibers at a location proximate the fiberizing device to form a first mixture; (3) drawing the first mixture into a collector to form a structure having a predetermined thickness; and (4) subsequently processing the first mixture to form the insulation product, wherein the first material is disposed throughout the insulation product.

  • Patent number: 8568844
Abstract: A protective jacketing-insulation composite structure and method is provided for inhibiting the corrosion of a pipeline. The method includes forming a porous-insulation into an elongated-arcuate-shape, applying a sodium silicate solution layer to the insulation and at least partially within the pores thereof, permitting the sodium silicate solution layer to set to a threshold amount, adhering an outer facing to the sodium silicate solution layer after the permitting step is accomplished, installing the insulation and facing to the outer surface of a pipeline, and sealing any exposed edges or seams that may exist between multiple installed products. A structure such as made from this method can have a release layer and contact adhesive.

  • Patent number: 8404112
Abstract: A sand filter for use with swimming pools includes a tank that has a hollow interior space and a top diffuser for allowing spent pool water to enter the tank and for distributing the pool water inside the tank. The sand filter also includes filter media formed as a bed of material on a bottom of the tank and also includes laterals that are located under the filter media and allow filtered pool water to exit the tank and flow back to the pool. The filter media includes a bed of sand that is disposed on the bottom of the tank and a layer of perlite material that is disposed on a top surface of the bed of sand. The perlite material is a high flow rate, low density perlite material that only contains a trace amount of floaters.
