  • Patent number: 4988419
Abstract: A method or process for treating materials for making materials electrically conductive that are not naturally electrically conductive or for increasing and enhancing the electrical conductivity of materials that are naturally electrically conductive. The invention is carried out in processing apparatus or equipment. The apparatus includes a vessel containing a solution that is electrically conductive. The solution or bath contains salts including acid surfactant, acid and silver nitrate crystals. The apparatus includes electrical equipment which includes electrodes exposed to the solution in the vessel so that an alternating electrical current is caused to traverse the solution and the material being processed. Additionally, the apparatus includes an array of ultrasonic generators provided to cause ultrasonic sound vibrations to traverse through the solution and the material being processed simultaneously with the flow of current.

  • Patent number: 4855865
Abstract: A grounding system for grounding a static dissipative surface or an object that is static dissipative. A bolt is provided that extends through a hole or bore in the product wherein a static charge is to be grounded. A unique form of head is provided which is conical in shape and is adapted to fit into a conical counterbore to assure that connection is made for electrical conductivity. In one form, a fitting serving as a nut is utilized, which is preferably round and knurled, to provide ease of finger tightening. The outer surface of the conical head is knurled to assure an electrical grounding connection. In a second form of the invention, the head has a bore extending through it with a tapered counterbore which receives the tapered head of a bolt which comes flush with the flat upper surface of the head. Ordinary nuts and washer may be used on the stem of the bolt.

  • Patent number: 4702951
Abstract: A product which is one having a static-free grounded work surface. There is a first component which is a relatively thick particle board but of a predetermined thickness. Overlying the particle board is wire mesh screen of particular gauge mesh with its edge portions secured to peripheral parts of the particle board. Overlying the wire mesh screen is a relatively thin plastic sheet of melamine which provides the working surface. A static charge is dissipated through the plastic laminate and through the wire mesh screen to ground connections.

  • Patent number: 4525398
Abstract: A conductive laminate product capable of dissipating static charges and adapted for use on vertical and horizontal surfaces. The laminate product is formed of a thin, hard layer of plastic material, a thin layer of metallic foil which is electrically conducted, bonded to the top layer by way of an electrically conducted adhesive material and a layer of backing material secured to the metallic foil.

  • Patent number: 4416202
Abstract: The invention is an improvement in mechanisms or apparatus for transporting articles or products between points such as work stations in an industrial plant or the like. A track or trackway is provided running between different points or work stations, the track provides fixed rail members. A truck or trolley equipped with rollers on its underside is movable on the trackway between different points or work stations, the trackway being supported at spaced intervals. The truck or trolley is provided with wheels or rollers that are engageable with the track. The truck or trolley is provided with additional wheels positioned so that the truck can move at right angles to the track into a shunt position at a particular work station. Articles such as devices being produced can thus be very readily moved about from one point to another, that is, from one work station to another in a plant area.

  • Patent number: 4227466
Abstract: An in-depth storage device where fixed shelves are supported on a plurality of vertical uprights and a sliding shelf is used in conjunction with each of the fixed shelves to provide in-depth storage space. The sliding shelves may be moved either manually or by powered mechanical means horizontally so as to align the leading edge of the sliding shelves with the leading edge of the fixed shelves. The track means upon which the sliding shelf is movable consists of a pair of channel beam members forming a simple beam connection between the fixed shelf members. Each channel beam carries a plurality of rollers which are mounted to the vertical flange of the channel beam within the channel portion of said beam. The sliding shelves are supported by an I beam, the lower flange of which engages the rollers which are mounted within the channel beams.
