Patents Assigned to Industrial Widget Works Company
  • Publication number: 20080179893
Abstract: A combined automatic latch and deadbolt assembly includes a latch; a deadbolt configured to selectively assume a first and a second configuration, the deadbolt defining a deadbolt feature; a first mechanical coupling coupled to the latch, and a second mechanical coupling that coupled the latch to the deadbolt. The second mechanical coupling may be configured such that movement of the latch causes the first mechanical coupling to move and engage the second mechanical coupling with the deadbolt feature to selectively cause a) the deadbolt to assume the first configuration, and b) cause the deadbolt to assume the second configuration.

  • Patent number: 7279022
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention include methods and devices for trapping particulate matter suspended in exhaust from, for example, automotive diesel engines. Particulates carried in exhaust are actually a colloidal suspension of finely divided particulates in a fluid (in this case, the exhaust gases). This colloidal mixture is channeled through an open spiral exhaust channel. The particulates will differentially tend to travel through the fluid in a straight line, which leads them to collide with a fine mesh or porous material that defines the open spiral exhaust channel. The gas, on the other hand, will easily traverse the spirally shaped exhaust channel, with its molecules bouncing around the curved path of the spiral. Continuing through the device, more and more particulates will build up in the surrounding meshwork or porous material.

  • Patent number: 7249791
Abstract: A combined automatic latch and deadbolt assembly includes a latch configured to selectively assume a retracted and extended configuration and a deadbolt configured to selectively assume a cocked and a released configuration. The combined automatic latch and deadbolt assembly may be configured such that causing the latch to transition from its retracted configuration to its extended configuration causes the deadbolt to transition from its cocked configuration to its extended configuration.

  • Publication number: 20070081703
Abstract: Multi Media Integrated Imaging (MMII) includes methods, devices and systems that are effective in overcoming the shortcomings of conventional medical imaging techniques. Instead of generating a series of unrelated images taken at different times and obtained by several technologies, embodiments of the present invention generate a deeply detailed, coherent image taken simultaneously with several imaging modalities. In this manner, each three-dimensional coordinate point in the image is enriched by the different data provided by each of the plurality of imaging technologies employed. The data for each three-dimensional coordinate point is taken in each of the imaging modalities at a same point in time such that that the simultaneous capture of the multi-modality image data provides a crisp snapshot of the patient's internal structures.

  • Publication number: 20060066449
Abstract: A system for monitoring a selected physiological activity of a person includes a passive wireless tag including a sensor for monitoring the selected physiological activity of the person and a Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tag coupled to the sensor. The RFID tag may include a unique identifier and may be configured to, when polled, generate, store and transmit a monitoring signal representative of the selected physiological activity and of the RFID tag unique identifier. A monitoring and processing station may be configured to poll the passive wireless tag and to receive and process the monitoring signal transmitted from the passive wireless tag.
