  • Patent number: 8522689
Abstract: A cableway system has a conveying cable that is guided via a head wheel pulleys in the two terminal stations of the system. Vehicles, such as gondolas or chairs, are coupled to the conveying cable between stations, and they are guided through the stations by way of travelling-gear mechanisms. In the stations, the vehicles are moved by way of tire wheels or control tires, and the tire wheels are driven by at least one supporting roller for the conveying cable. The supporting roller is located in the relevant station. The at least one of these supporting rollers for the conveying cable via which the drive power of the control tires is derived from the conveying cable is adjustable in the vertical direction.

  • Patent number: 8443734
Abstract: The seat surface of a chair of a chair lift can be pivoted with the aid of a pivot mechanism. Thus, the seat surface can, while a passenger is sitting thereon, be pivoted in such a way that it extends so as to descend, or descend more markedly, toward the rear edge of the seat part. Passengers enter automatically, and independently of their size and sitting position on the chair, into a stronger, stable back position, thereby reliably counteracting slipping in the direction of the front edge of the seat part and thus slipping-through between the seat surface and transverse hoop.

  • Patent number: 8418625
Abstract: A system for conveying persons has at least one track along which a plurality of vehicles or groups of vehicles are moved by continuous conveying cables. At least two mutually successive conveying cables are arranged in line with one another and each has a drive so that they may be driven independently of one another. The vehicles are coupled to the cables with clamping devices. The clamping devices arranged on the vehicles spaced apart from one another in the longitudinal direction of the system. When there is a transfer of a vehicle from a first to the successive conveying cable, a control device uncouples at least the first clamping device, from the first conveying cable and thereupon couples it to the successive conveying cable. Then, a further clamping device is uncoupled from the first conveying cable and coupled to the successive conveying cable.

  • Patent number: 8418840
Abstract: A conveyor for the transport of bulk materials contains three pairs of supporting cables located vertically one above another. A conveyor belt is movable along the supporting cables and at its ends guided over return drums. Fastened to the conveyor belt are supporting beams having ends mounting rollers, which roll along the middle and lower supporting cables. Supporting frames are located at a distance apart in the longitudinal direction of the conveyor and by which the supporting cables are mutually connected. The supporting frames are formed by two vertically aligned supporting struts and two horizontally aligned connecting struts and, the upper ends of the supporting struts are connected to one of the upper supporting cables. The connecting struts are connected by clamping devices located thereon to the middle and to the lower supporting cables. The clamping devices located on the connecting struts form an acute angle with the connecting struts.

  • Patent number: 8172073
Abstract: An assembly on a cableway or a goods-conveying system for detecting incorrect positioning of a carrying cable on a mount with a channel in which the carrying cable is located. The assembly includes a device for detecting the faulty positioning of the carrying cable. A segment of the mount is movable, and the device for detecting the incorrect positioning of the carrying cable detects movement of the portion of the mount. It is thus possible for incorrect positioning of the carrying cable, which results in this segment being displaced, to be detected in good time, even before the carrying cable in this portion has been completely derailed.

  • Publication number: 20120103226
Abstract: A cableway system for conveying skiers from a valley station to a mountain station has a continuous, and continuously moving, conveying cable, which is guided in the terminal stations via deflecting pulleys, of which at least one is a driven head wheel. The system includes chairs with seats for several skiers. The chairs are uncoupled from the conveying cable at the entrance into the stations, and guided through the stations, along guide rails, at a speed which is reduced in relation to the speed of the conveying cable, wherein the skiers sit on these chairs, or disembark therefrom, and the chairs are once more coupled to the conveying cable at the exit of the station. Skier-access barriers, are located in the valley station through which the skiers pass into the region of the movement paths of the chairs. A marking is provided in the region of the movement path of the chairs that indicates to the skiers the necessary positions for sitting on the chairs.

  • Publication number: 20120090497
Abstract: A system for moving vehicles along two tracks that are in each case formed by two guides, in particular rails. The vehicles are moved by endless conveying cables to which the vehicles may be coupled. The two tracks have a switch in the regions of the end stations and where appropriate along the course, by way of which they are brought together. The switch has four guides which are located next to one another. The middle two guides, which are rigidly connected to one another, are pivotal about a first axis and the outer two guides, which are connected to one another in an articulated manner, are pivotal about two further axes that are spaced from one another. The switch that is formed by the four guides can thus be pivoted out of a first position into a second position.
