Patent number: 9644006Abstract: The invention relates to the technological sector of the transport and delivery of molecules into cells, either at cytoplasm or at nucleus or inter-cells (cell to cell transport), using peptides binding proteins from the cell microtubule motor complex, preferably dynein-binding peptides, as carrier/delivery peptides; or functionalized structures, as nanoparticles, linked to said carrier/delivery peptides. This delivery can be useful in many technical fields comprising, among some others: diagnosis, therapy and pharmacology.Type: GrantFiled: February 17, 2012Date of Patent: May 9, 2017Assignee: INSTITUTO NACIONAL DE INVESTIGACIÓN Y TECNOLOGÍA AGRARIA Y ALIMENTARIA (INIA)Inventors: M. Patent number: 8592552Abstract: New antiviral peptides interfering the binding of the virus to DLC8 are provided. A high number of pathogenic agents of viral origin use the dynein based intracellular transport machinery at some point of their infective cycle. The present invention consists of a new antiviral therapy consisting in the inhibition of viral infections produced by those virus that use the dynein system by mechanisms of interference mainly by preventing the interaction between the viral protein and the cellular DLC8 protein. The present invention discloses for the first time the blocking of the function of this interaction by peptides whose sequence comprises or consists of the totality or a partial sequence of the viral protein corresponding to the binding domain with DLC8.Type: GrantFiled: October 20, 2008Date of Patent: November 26, 2013Assignees: Alternative Gene Expression, S.L. Patent number: 8557246Abstract: Fusion protein with directioning of vaccinal antigens toward antigen-presenting cells and the applications thereof. This invention relates to a gene construct that comprises, operatively bound, at least one nucleotide sequence (A) that encodes a polypeptide with SEQ ID NO: 1, which has a region that recognizes the ? chain of the class-II DR antigen present on the surface of antigen-presenting cells; and one nucleotide sequence (B) that encodes a vaccinal antigen of interest. Moreover, this invention relates to recombinant vectors useful for the expression of the gene construct of the invention, transgenic cells and plants transformed or transfected with said vectors, fusion proteins encoded by the gene construct of the invention and vaccines that comprise said fusion proteins.Type: GrantFiled: March 14, 2008Date of Patent: October 15, 2013Assignees: Instituto Nacional de Investigación y Tecnología Agraria y Alimentaria, Alternative Gene Expression, S.L.Inventors: José Angel Martínez Escribano, Andrés Wigdorovitz, Félix Gil Dones, Agustin Ostachuk, Mariano Pèrez Filguera, Javier Dominguez, Carmen Núnez Serrano, Maria Josè Dus Santos, Covadonga Alonso Marti

Publication number: 20130202627Abstract: Use of flagellins from the genus Marinobacter as vaccine adjuvants. This invention is based on the use of two recombinant flagellins, F and FR, from the species Marinobacter algicola (DG893T strain), as vaccine adjuvants capable of developing a specific immune response, against peptides or proteins fused to said flagellins, or administered unfused jointly with the flagellins. This invention also describes new combined vaccination strategies, based on the two Marinobacter algicola flagellins and the Salmonella typhimurium flagellin.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 2, 2010Publication date: August 8, 2013Applicant: INSTITUTO NACIONAL DE INVESTIGACIÓN Y TECNOLOGÍA AGRARIA Y ALIMENTARIA (INIA)Inventor: Eduardo Gómez Casado

Patent number: 7122315Abstract: The method consists of detecting an enteric virus in a test sample, where the detection of said enteric virus in said test sample indicates the existence of contamination. The method allows us to detect the presence or absence of enteric viruses in a test sample, and then to determine the existence of environmental contamination, especially faecal contamination of livestock origin, in the test sample and, therefore, the place where the test sample was taken. The characterisation and/or molecular or serological typification of the enteric virus detected and its comparison with that of other enteric viruses present in sources of contamination near to where the samples were taken for analysis, also allows us to identify the origin of said contamination.Type: GrantFiled: February 19, 2003Date of Patent: October 17, 2006Assignee: Instituto Nacional de Investigacion y Tecnologia Agraria y Alimentaria (INIA)Inventors: Victoria Ley Vega De Seoane, Miguel Angel Jimenez Clavero

Patent number: 6852327Abstract: The invention is a composition and a method for agriculture. The composition is a semisynthetic mixture (a) which includes (1) an organic compound which is essentially emitted in the fermentation of vegetable parts of the palm tree or related plant, (2) a vegetable material obtained from the palm tree or related plant and which has been ground, fermented, and stabilized, and (3) an organic compound emitted in minor quantity during the fermentation of the vegetable parts of the palm tree or related plant; and (b) a pheromone which is appropriate to control for the target insect. The method includes the application of the composition to a plantation of palm trees and related plants to be protected.Type: GrantFiled: September 4, 1998Date of Patent: February 8, 2005Assignee: Instituto Nacional de Investigacion y Tecnologia Agraria y Alimentaria (INIA)Inventors: José Rafael Esteban Duran, José Luis Tadeo Lluch, Francisco Beitia Crespo, Antonio Jimenez Alvarez, Consuelo Sanchez-Brunete Palop

Patent number: 6513726Abstract: A process for the constant emission of volatile products in the liquid state, which may be either natural or synthetic products or compounds (with or without solutes), uses solid absorbent masses of different materials of a diverse nature and composition. A specifically designed and mutually mechanically linked device forming a homogenous set is used for effectively achieving this process.Type: GrantFiled: September 16, 1998Date of Patent: February 4, 2003Assignee: Instituto Nacional De Investigacion Y Tecnologia Agraria Y AlimentariaInventor: José Rafael Esteban Duran
