  • Patent number: 4230410
Abstract: Mixing device for fluids of high, different and varying temperatures having a housing and a cylindrical, straight mixing tube open at both ends thereof and formed intermediate the ends thereof with numerous radial openings, the mixing tube being secured at one end thereof tightly to the housing and being mounted at the other end thereof so as to be displaceable longitudinally with respect to the housing, including a shock tube disposed between the mixing tube and the housing and being, at least at one end thereof, displaceable longitudinally with respect to the housing and the mixing tube, the mixing tube having an outflow end and being secured at least at the outflow end thereof tightly to the housing, the shock tube and the mixing tube defining an annular space therebetween, an inner pipe stub terminating in the annular space, the inner pipe stub being concentrically surrounded by a housing union tightly connected to the housing, the shock tube being formed with a radial opening through which the inner pipe

  • Patent number: 4129851
Abstract: Electromechanical transducer includes a magnetostrictive core formed of a superimposed stack of individual plates disposed within a cylindrical protective sheath and having a coil wound thereon in longitudinal direction thereof, the plates having the shape of a circular disc formed with slots therein which leave open an area central to the disc that corresponds to the cross section of the coil and are disposed alternatingly offset from one another at a given angle so that the stack formed by the individual plates is in contact with the inner surface of the protective sheath over the entire periphery thereof.

  • Patent number: 3944467
Abstract: Spacers for fuel rods in nuclear reactor fuel elements, especially for use aboard ships. Spacers are used in a grid formed by web plates orthogonally intersecting and assembled together in a tooth-comb fashion forming a plurality of channels. The web plates are joined together and each of the web plates includes apertures through which resilient and separator members are joined. The resilient and separator members are in adjacent channels and with other similar members in the same channel, contact a fuel rod in the channel. The contact pressure between the members and fuel rod is radially directed.
