  • Publication number: 20070294660
Abstract: A method, system and computer program are provided for problem determination in an enterprise computer system in a distributed environment. In the method, information is obtained regarding the enterprise applications, and high-level information is presented to a user, with one or more prompts are provided to the user for more detailed information. In response to a request from a user for more detailed information about the application, more detailed information is provided to the user. Several levels of more detailed information about applications, including information as to individual threads, is available. The method also includes the steps of receiving instructions from an administrator to establish an account for a user, associating one or more servers with the account, and providing access to the corresponding user only to the associated servers. In the method, searches may be conducted for strings and requests, and identified strings and requests may be sorted by a variety of criteria.

  • Patent number: 7260004
Abstract: Apparatus for repairing one or more shorted memory cells in a memory circuit includes control circuitry. The control circuitry is operative in one of at least a first mode and a second mode. In the first mode, the control circuitry is operative to apply a first signal to a selected memory cell in the memory circuit for reading a logic state of the selected memory cell and to determine whether or not the selected memory cell is shorted. In the second mode, the control circuitry is operative to apply a second signal to a selected memory cell which has been determined to be shorted for initiating a repair of the selected memory cell, the second signal being greater in magnitude than the first signal.

  • Patent number: 7257605
Abstract: Disclosed is a mechanism that can be implemented in database systems to support distributed transactions in heterogeneous systems. Once the transaction manager of a database system implements this mechanism, application developers and vendors can integrate new datasources into the transaction manager of the database system. This would simplify the application design and ensure the integrity of data and interactions. The interface and interactions between the transaction manager and external datasources (both structured and non-structured) conform to X/Open XA standards. Also disclosed is a technique to design the system catalogs for organizing the datasources and instances of the new datasources.

  • Patent number: 7205185
Abstract: A double-gate transistor has front (upper) and back gates aligned laterally by a process of forming symmetric sidewalls in proximity to the front gate and then oxidizing the back gate electrode at a temperature of at least 1000 degrees for a time sufficient to relieve stress in the structure, the oxide penetrating from the side of the transistor body to thicken the back gate oxide on the outer edges, leaving an effective thickness of gate oxide at the center, aligned with the front gate electrode. Optionally, an angled implant from the sides of an oxide enhancing species encourages relatively thicker oxide in the outer implanted areas and an oxide-retarding implant across the transistor body retards oxidation in the vertical direction, thereby permitting increase of the lateral extent of the oxidation.

  • Patent number: 6913965
Abstract: The present invention relates to metal-insulator-metal (MIM) capacitors and field effect transistors (FETs) formed on a semiconductor substrate. The FETs are formed in Front End of Line (FEOL) levels below the MIM capacitors which are formed in upper Back End of Line (BEOL) levels. An insulator layer is selectively formed to encapsulate at least a top plate of the MIM capacitor to protect the MIM capacitor from damage due to process steps such as, for example, reactive ion etching. By selective formation of the insulator layer on the MIM capacitor, openings in the inter-level dielectric layers are provided so that hydrogen and/or deuterium diffusion to the FETs can occur.

  • Publication number: 20050050549
Abstract: A method for dynamically associating type information about extensible messages in a service-oriented architecture includes configuring a simple object access protocol (SOAP) message header to include message meta-data and semantics, thereby facilitating a dynamic exchange of semantic type information for open content message exchange between a sender and a receiver.

  • Patent number: RE39184
Abstract: A method, apparatus and computer program product for identifying and creating persistent object fragments from a named object. For example, a digital content description of a named digital object can be dynamically parsed, and persistent fragment identities created and maintained to facilitate caching. Named digital objects include but are not limited to: Web pages described in XML, SGML, and HTML. The object description is revised by replacing each object fragment with its newly created persistent identity. The revised object description is then sent to the requesting node. Depending upon the properties of a fragment, this can either enable the fragment or the revised object description to be cacheable at the server and/or client device. For example, the object description can include a dynamic part which would otherwise prevent the object from being cached. The dynamic part can be recognized and treated as a separate fragment from the object description.
