    Abstract: A system for automatically adjusting sound effects and a method thereof. The system includes a communication module, a playing module, an input module for receiving a choice among a plurality of songs made by a user, and a processing module configured to search a storage module for one of sets of sound effects parameters corresponding to the choice made by the user. If the set of sound effects parameters corresponding to the choice made by the user is not found, the processing module is then configured to obtain the set of sound effects parameters from a plurality of servers through a communication module. The playing module is configured to adjust a playing mode according to the set of sound effects parameters found or obtained by the processing module, and to play the song of choice in the playing mode.

    Abstract: A distance detection system and method for use in a hand-held electronic device is described. The distance detection system comprises an input unit used to input at least one instruction; at least one processing device having a timing element and a calculating element; at least one signal device; and an air inspecting unit. The signal device is used to transmit a signal to a detecting object in response to the instruction, and to receive a response signal from the detecting object. The timing element is used to measure an interval between transmitting the signal and receiving the response signal. The air inspecting unit is used to detect a condition of air between the hand-held electronic device and the detecting object. The data of the detected air condition can be converted into a parameter to calculate distance data corresponding to a distance from both the parameter and the measured interval.

An audio smoothing method includes the steps of: dividing the audio waveform according to a predetermined cycle time while the audio waveform is received; calculating respectively average waveform amplitudes; after setting an input sound volume via the operating interface, dividing the input sound volume by amplitude values respectively to obtain amplitude parameters; and multiplying all the amplitude parameters with the amplitude values corresponding to the divided audio waveforms to obtain the smoothed waveform.

The simulation testing system comprises a first mobile communication device and a second mobile communication device. The second mobile communication device comprises a second command processing module, having a simulation unit for receiving the attention command and simulating a modulator/demodulator to transmit a simulation connection command. After the first mobile communication device receives the simulation connection command, the data processing module sends the testing data to the second mobile communication device. Compared with previous testing system of a mobile communication apparatus, the simulation testing system does not need a network.

The base has an accommodating slot arranged for accommodating a memory card, a first fastener and a second fastener. The first fastener and the second fastener are electrically connected to a battery and the memory card, respectively. When the metal frame is in a fastening position and fastened to the first fastener and the second fastener, the memory card can be clamped between the base and the metal frame. Then an electrical path is formed among the first fastener, the second fastener and the metal frame, thereby supplying the memory card with power of the battery. The present invention further includes a portable electronic device with the above fastening mechanism in which the electrical path is opened, while removing the memory card, so as to prevent supplying the memory card with power of the battery.

    Abstract: The present invention relates a cursor control method for controlling a cursor displayed on a monitor of an electronic apparatus by means of pressure detection and a cursor control device thereof. The cursor control device comprises a circuit substrate, a processing unit, a control panel and conductive elastic convex parts. The control panel is disposed above the circuit substrate, and a second surface is next to the circuit substrate. The conductive elastic convex parts are disposed on the second surface and corresponding to electrical contacts on the circuit substrate. When a point on the first surface receives an exerted pressure, the conductive elastic convex part is pressed against the circuit substrate and is deformed. The sensing module detects a change in electrical conductivity thereof according to the change in the electrical resistance. The processing unit calculates a position of the point for controlling the moving direction of the cursor.
