Abstract: A quarter-turn fastener for securing together a plurality of overlapped panels comprises an elongated body portion having a longitudinal axis, a head provided upon one end of the body portion for engaging a first outer surface of one of the overlapped panels, and a pair of resiliently flexible fingers provided upon an opposite end of the body portion for engaging a second outer surface of a second one of the overlapped panels whereby the panels are preliminarily secured together by the fastener in a non-compressed state. A pair of diametrically opposed inclined cam portions are also provided upon the body portion at a position axially between the opposite ends of the body portion so as to engage the second outer surface of the second one of the overlapped panels such that when the fastener is rotated through means of an angular rotation of 90.degree.
