Abstract: A vibration damping device for a drum includes a drumhead contact adapted to be releasably fixed to a drumhead of the drum and a strap releasably connected between the contact and a drumhead hold-down hoop for forming a drum vibration bridge between the drumhead and the hold-down hoop. The strap has a hoop attachment end and a contact attachment end opposite the hoop attachment end. The hoop attachment end is adapted to be fixed to the drumhead hold-down hoop of the drum, while the contact attachment end is adapted to be releasably connected to the contact.

The longitudinally spaced pad sections may also increase in durometer hardness from a centermost pad section to the longitudinally outermost pad sections. For attachment of the pad to a shoulder strap, the pad includes at lease one clip from making snap-on engagement with the pad. For added durability, the shoulder pad further preferably includes a thin spine, which is more rigid than the flexible base member and is attached to the top surface of the flexible base member.

Abstract: A coupler for use with at least two banana plug connectors includes two preferably cylindrical portions molded together as a flexible unit. Apertures in the cylindrical portions are able to receive protrusions extending from each of the banana plug connectors to form a frictional fit between the coupler and the connectors. The frictional fit retains the connectors together, which prevents accidental shorting of the connectors and enables the connectors to assume various rotational and/or linear relationships with respect to each other to accommodate different spacings and orientations of corresponding female connectors.

Abstract: A cable tie wrap for bundling cable includes a coupling body and an elastic cord defining a loop attached to a cord connection end of the coupling body. The coupling body includes a projection formed on an outer surface thereof for removably hooking the loop defined by the cord to the coupling body. The projection includes an annular groove and a retaining lip formed thereon for removably nesting the elastic cord therein. The coupling body may further include at least one cord retention rib formed on the outer surface thereof for preventing the cord from slipping off the outer surface of the body. The tie wrap further preferably includes means for attaching the tie wrap to a cord to be bundled so that the tie wrap is not misplaced when not in use.

Abstract: A capo for use with a stringed, musical instrument includes an L-shaped housing having a fixed arm, a swing arm pivotably mounted to the housing and being spaced apart from the fixed arm, a ratchet and pinion gear assembly and a pawl assembly. The swing arm is moveable relative to the fixed arm to change the spacing between the arms. The ratchet and pinion gear assembly includes a pinion gear and a ratchet wheel co-axially mounted together on and rotatable with respect to the housing. The swing arm includes a toothed end portion which is engaged by the pinion gear. The pawl assembly includes a pawl pivotably mounted on the housing and a spring engaging the pawl and biasing it such that it contacts the ratchet wheel unless disengaged by the user. The pawl prevents rotation of the ratchet wheel and the pinion gear in at least one direction when it engages the ratchet wheel.
