Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for logging performance of a driver operating a commercial motor vehicle (“CMV”). One method includes receiving at a portable device identifying information for the driver through a graphical user interface and at least one operating parameter from a non-portable base unit installed in the CMV. The non-portable base unit includes a processor and non-transitory computer-readable medium and configured to monitor at least one operating parameter of the CMV. The method also includes determining compliance data at the portable device based, at least in part, on the identifying information and the at least one operating parameter, and wirelessly transmitting signals based on the compliance data from the portable device to a remote host.

Abstract: An integrated, multiple-function management system and method that allows trucking companies and carriers to enhance the efficiency of their operation. The method includes receiving data for at least one individual, comparing the individual's data with operational requirements, and notifying a destination entity if the individual's data does not comply with the operational requirements. The method further includes subscribing to diverse entities for information relating to the individual, receiving information from a subscribed entity, determining if the received information corresponds with the individual's information, associating the received information with the corresponding individual and determining if the received information relates to an operational requirement.

Abstract: A placard holding device for displaying a placard upon a vertical planar surface comprises a back frame member adapted for mounting upon the vertical planar surface and a front frame member having a flat surface portion enclosing an open window area. The front frame member is secured by a fastening assembly upon the back frame member. The fastening assembly includes a spacer member which holds the flat surface portion outwardly spaced from the back member and forms a placard holding pocket between the flat surface portion and the back frame member which is partially peripherally bounded by the spacer member. The portion of the pocket not bounded by the spacer member defines an access slot. An integral closure mechanism is provided which is operative for movement between an open position permitting passage of the placard through the access slot and a closed position preventing such passage.
