Patent number: 7229316Abstract: In a connector having a conductive contact held by an insulator, a lock spring is held by the insulator and adapted to lock a connected state with a mating connector. A conductive shell covers the contact and the insulator. A lever is disposed adjacent to the lock spring. The lever is adapted to operate the lock spring and surrounded by a lever protecting portion serving as an operation inhibiting portion which is for limiting an operating direction of the lever and prevents an excessive displacement of the lever.Type: GrantFiled: November 3, 2005Date of Patent: June 12, 2007Assignees: Japan Aviation Electronics Industry, Limited, JAE Hirosaki, Ltd.Inventors: Masaaki Takaku, Kazushi Kamata, Shuuichi Ishida, Akira Kimura

Patent number: 7204707Abstract: In a floating connector (101) including a fitting portion (20) and a fixed portion (40), a supporting mechanism (1) is connected to the fitting portion and the fixed portion to support the fitting portion to the fixed portion so that the fitting portion may float in a fitting direction (26) of a mating connector (102). A floating control mechanism (22, 25) is arranged between the fitting portion and the fixed portion. When the mating connector is not fitted to the floating connector, the floating control mechanism locks or inhibits the floating of the fitting portion. However, the floating control mechanism enables the floating of the fitting portion in response to a fitting operation of the mating connector to the floating connecter. Use of the mating connector causes motion of a slide plate (22) and rotation of a stopper (25) about an axis (25a, 13) and results in release of the fitting portion (20) to enable it to float in a selected direction.Type: GrantFiled: July 19, 2005Date of Patent: April 17, 2007Assignees: Japan Aviation Electronics Industry, Limited, JAE Hirosaki, Ltd.Inventors: Koji Kawase, Akira Kimura, Toshiyuki Moritake, Nobukazu Kato, Kazushi Kamata

Patent number: 7108530Abstract: In a card fitting mechanism for receiving a card fitted thereto, a plurality of card receiving portions are arranged parallel to one another. Each of the card receiving portions is adapted to receive the card. A guiding member is disposed between adjacent ones of the card receiving portions so as to enter into adjacent ones of the card receiving portions. When the card is inserted in only one of the adjacent card receiving portions, the guiding member is moved by the card to serve as a guide for guiding the card that is inserted into another of the adjacent card receiving portions.Type: GrantFiled: August 31, 2004Date of Patent: September 19, 2006Assignees: Japan Aviation Electronics Industry, Limited, JAE Hirosaki, Ltd.Inventors: Akira Kimura, Kazushi Kamata, Nobukazu Kato, Tomohiko Tamada
