Abstract: A method is provided for producing a fabric-covered spring toy having a helical body which is decorated both on its outside and on its confronting helical surfaces. In the method, a fabric tube is everted using a lanyard to pull one end of the tube through the tube center to produce the fabric tube. Everting produces a tube with a decorative surface on the outer face. The resulting fabric covered spring body can be sewn to other fabric structures such as simulated animal body parts, for incorporation into an animal-like product having a semi-soft, flexible body.
Abstract: An articulated spring toy comprising fore and aft body sections connected together by a helical spring. The spring is fastened at opposite ends to the body sections in a manner that conceals the spring ends and provides a permanent connection that resists disconnection in normal usage. Other desirable structural features are also disclosed.
Abstract: A multi-colored twirling baton comprising a transparent tube having a transparent helical partition co-axially extending through the tube to form two separate helical fluid chambers. Two light-transmissive fluids of different colors fill respective ones of the chambers. Light transmitted through the baton displays a helical array of the two colors and a third color which is a blend of the other two.
Abstract: A lens pattern blank has a pattern of concentric circles on one face with the centers of the circle coincident with the center of the mounting hole in the mounting hub thereof and diameter indicators for each circle disposed on the face and within each circle. The blank also includes a protractor pattern on one face having the center point thereof coincident with the center of the central mounting hole and angle indicators on the face for the protractor pattern angles.
