Abstract: Disclosed is a scraping wheel (1) for scraping the skin side (2) of an animal pelt (3). The scraping wheel (1) comprises a scraping roller (4) including a plurality of scraping teeth (5) arranged on the outer cylindrical roller surface (6) and the scraping roller (4) further comprises a centrally arranged axial roller hole (7). The scraping wheel (1) also comprises one or more hub parts (25, 26) arranged at least partly in the centrally arranged axial roller hole (7) and connected to the scraping roller (4) through a torque transmitting connection (9), wherein the one or more hub parts (25, 26) further comprise a centrally arranged axial hub hole (10) by which the scraping wheel (1) is mounted on a drive shaft (11) driving the rotation of the scraping wheel (1) during the scraping. Disclosed is also a scraping roller (4) for scraping of the skin side (2) of an animal pelt (3).

Abstract: An apparatus is disclosed for processing the skin side (5) of a tubular pelt (3), the apparatus comprising an elongated tapering mandrel (1) for supporting the pelt with its skin side turned outwards, a scraping device comprising a first set of primary scraping roller (6, 7) arranged on opposing sides of the mandrel and a second set of primary scraping rollers (8, 9) arranged on other opposing sides of the mandrel, the scraping device further comprising primary rotation means (6, 7, 8, 9) for rotating said primary scraping rollers during processing of a pelt so as to engage a skin side of the pelt, moving means for conducting a relative movement between the scraping device and the mandrel in the longitudinal direction of the mandrel, and displacement means for displacing at least one scraping roller in the direction of the axis of rotation of said scraping roller.

Abstract: A method for positioning an individually metered out food portion on an animal cage arranged in a row of animal cages for fur animals, in particular mink, by means of a motorized feed cart having wheels, at least one driving wheel, and a feed container, the method including moving the feed cart along a row of animal cages, thereby turning the wheels of the feed cart, determining by means of the control unit that the feed cart has reached a given position corresponding to a given cage and a database of information related to at least positions of animal cages and desired size of food portions to each animal cage, controlling the feed cart to metering out the desired food portions at a suitable food delivering place at the given animal cage according to the information in the database, determining by means of the control unit and the database whether a medication should be provided at the given animal cage, and metering medication out according to the information in the database.

Abstract: An apparatus having a tapering mandrel with a first part that is thinner than a second part of the mandrel, on which mandrel the tubular fur can be drawn from the first part of the mandrel towards the second part of the mandrel. The apparatus further includes at least a first scraper unit having at least one scraper roller which, during operation and in contact with the skin side, is arranged to rotate so that scraping elements on the scraper roller scrape the skin side of the fur. The mandrel is arranged to be driven at different speeds, and the apparatus is arranged to switch between the different speeds when the fur on the mandrel is in different predefined positions.

Abstract: An apparatus includes a tapering mandrel on which a tubular fur can be drawn. The apparatus further includes at least two scraper units having one or more scraper rollers which, during operation and in contact with the skin side of the fur, is arranged to rotate so that scraping elements on the scraper rollers scrape the skin side of the fur on opposite sides of the mandrel. The scraper units include a pressure arrangement to apply to the at least one scraper roller a contact pressure against the skin side, and a damper arrangement for damping the scraper unit movement away from the mandrel. Scraper units may be included on opposing mandrel sides, wherein each unit includes two rollers to act on the skin side with a friction force towards a second part of the mandrel; at least one of the rollers includes one or more V-shaped scraper elements.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for stretching a pelt on a pelt board, by determining a length of the pelt and adjusting the stretch force in accordance with the determined length. In particular, the length may be determined prior to stretching of the pelt, or the length may be determined after the primary stretching of the pelt stretching the pelt, where after the stretching force is reduced before securing the pelt to the pelt board.
