  • Patent number: 5675486
Abstract: An electric power circuit for producing a DC output from an AC output of an AC power source comprises a rectifying circuit to be connected to the AC power source for rectifying the AC output to produce a rectified output, and a smoothing circuit comprising an electrolytic capacitor connected to the rectifying circuit and having an output port to be connected to a load, for smoothing the rectified output to produce a smoothed output as the DC output onto the output port. The DC output is supplied to the load connected to the output port so that a load current flows from the power circuit through the load. In order to reduce harmonic components flowing back to the AC power source due to ripple component included in the load current, a non-linear resistance element having a positive temperature coefficient of resistance is used in a positive one of connection lines connecting the rectifying circuit and the smoothing circuit.

  • Patent number: 5057972
Abstract: An electrolytic capacitor comprising a pair of electrode foils, an oxide layer provided on the surface of at least one of said electrode foils, an ion permeable capacitor paper interposed between said pair of electrode foils, an electrolyte being impregnated into the capacitor paper. The capacitor paper contains hydrogen reducing fine particles consisting of palladium, platinum or an alloy of both. The hydrogen reducing fine particles are distributed in the capacitor paper in an amount between 0.1 and 1% by weight based on the weight of said capacitor paper.

  • Patent number: 4298848
Abstract: A feeding device for a printed circuit board comprises a distributed capacity element comprising at least a first conductive strip and a second conductive strip separated from each other by a low loss dielectric layer, leading-out terminals coupled to the first conductive strip, a power source connected to at least one leading-out terminal of the first conductive strip, an electrolytic capacitor connected to the power source, and at least one non-polarized capacitor connected in parallel with the electrolytic capacitor, the second conductive strip being connected to a grounding circuit. A feeding element used in a feeding device comprises the distributed capacity element formed in an oblong shape by folding and coiling up the first and the second conductive strips layered as above-mentioned, and leading-out terminals connected to each of the strips, the element being enclosed in a container or encapsulated by plastic material.
