Patents Assigned to Jennings Compound Bow, Inc.
  • Patent number: 4300521
Abstract: A compound bow, including a center handle portion, upper and lower limbs having inner ends connected to the center portion and free outer ends. Upper and lower draw pulleys are eccentrically mounted respectively on axles mounted on the free outer ends of the upper and lower limbs with a first draw cable having one end positioned adjacent the lower draw pulley and extending across the bow and with the other end of the first draw cable extending around the upper draw pulley. A free end of the first draw cable extends tangentially from the outer surface of the upper pulley. A second draw cable has one end positioned adjacent the upper draw pulley and extends across the bow and with the other end of the second draw cable extends around the lower draw pulley and having a free end extending tangentially from the outer surface of the lower pulley. A bowstring interconnects the free ends of the first and second draw cables.

  • Patent number: 4241715
Abstract: A compound bow, including a center handle portion, upper and lower limbs respectively attached to the upper and lower ends of the handle portion and having resilient properties, a bow string, a pair of draw cables, and coupling the bow string between the draw cables to provide a continuity between the bow string and the draw cables, a pair of draw pulleys each constructed to receive an individual one of the draw cables and each operatively coupled to an individual one of the limbs at a position near the end of the associated limb, each of the draw cables having a peripheral portion and a central portion, first and second spaced grooves in the peripheral portion and a path leading through the central portion and connecting the first and second grooves, and with the path intersecting the first and second grooves at particular points and each of the draw pulleys permitting variations of the point of intersection between the path and at least one of the first and second grooves for providing an adjustment in the

  • Patent number: 4112909
Abstract: A compound bow having a center handle portion, upper and lower limbs having inner ends connected to the handle portion, and upper and lower draw pulleys mounted on the free outer ends of the upper and lower limbs. Each of the draw pulleys has a peripheral portion, a central portion, and first and second spaced grooves in the peripheral portion. A passage in each draw pulley leads through its central portion and connects the first and second grooves. Each pulley has an inner surface portion and an outer surface portion on the peripheral portion with the inner surface portion facing the bow and the outer surface portion being directed away from the bow when the bow is in its rest position. A pivotal mounting is provided for each pulley with the pulleys being eccentrically positioned on the mountings for rotational movement during draw of the bow with the bowstring supported by the pulleys. Rotational movement of the pulleys increases the effective length of each of the bow limbs.

  • Patent number: 4005696
Abstract: A compound bow having a center portion with a handle formed thereon, a a lower limb and an upper limb connected to the center portion and eccentrically mounted bow string pulleys mounted at the outer ends of each of the limbs for supporting a bow string. Bow string holders are supported by each of the eccentrically mounted pulleys with each of the bow string holders having a shaft that is connected at its outer end through a cable to one of the pulleys. At least a pair of bow string support members extend from either side of the shaft with the bow string support members being positioned at the inner end of the shaft. Each of the support members includes an upwardly extending outer end which is shaped and positioned to maintain a bow string between the outer end and the shaft.
