  • Patent number: 11793684
Abstract: A packaged elongate sanitary protection product includes a folded sanitary protection product enveloped in a substantially circular package and having first and second arcuate end portions comprising first and second ends, respectively, separated by a central portion. The topsheet and backsheet are joined in a flange surrounding the absorbent structure, and the absorbent structure comprises at least three intersecting, substantially circular sections aligned along a longitudinal axis. A first circular section is associated with the first arcuate end portion, and a second section is associated with the second arcuate end portion, and a central portion is associated with at least one intervening substantially circular portion. The intersections define folding axes perpendicular to the longitudinal axis and enlarged flange sections of the topsheet and backsheet. • Patent number: 11782295
Abstract: A contact lens incorporating one or more surface modified zones on the anterior surface of the lens may be utilized to generate a friction driven rotational force when the upper and/or lower eyelids pass over the one or more regions during blinking. A small difference in the coefficient of friction between the modified and unmodified regions of the lens may result in an equivalent rotational force to that of a thickness gradient lens. This small difference in the coefficient of friction produces a means to orient and stabilize the contact lens on eye.

  • Patent number: 11779694
Abstract: A pneumatic cross-connect proportional valve provides the capability to calibrate pressure and vacuum sensors in a surgical cassette associated with a surgical console. Calibration of non-invasive pressure and vacuum sensors in a cassette by utilizing a proportional cross-connect to pressurize the lines with set pressure or vacuum the lines with set vacuum and measure the response of respective sensors in the cassette. The use of proportional pressure may be used along with other clearing methods to clear material clogging the aspiration channel pathways and tubing of the surgical system. Utilize the cross-connect functionality to more rapidly pressurize the aspiration line upon detection or prediction of a post occlusion surge, thereby reducing the pressure difference between the surgical field, the eye chamber, and aspiration line which may prevent, for example, a surge of fluid out of the anterior chamber of the eye.
