Patent number: 6749276Abstract: A sequencing mechanism for a slide assembly having at least three segments, including an outer slide segment, one or more intermediate slide segments and an inner slide segment. The sequencing mechanism ensures that the inner and intermediate slide segments extend together, from a substantially retracted position, until the intermediate segment reaches substantially full extension. The sequencing mechanism includes a sequence latch pivotally attached to the intermediate slide segment and configured to operate in both an upright orientation and an inverted orientation of the slide assembly. The latch has a hook portion at one end and a transversely extending tab portion at the opposing end. The hook portion selectively engages an opening in the inner slide segment to lock the inner slide segment to the intermediate slide segment.Type: GrantFiled: October 1, 2002Date of Patent: June 15, 2004Assignee: Jonathan Manufacturing Corp.Inventors: Ronald J. Patent number: 6158123Abstract: A slide assembly is provided including a first slide segment, a reinforcing member and an overmold shell. The first slide segment defines a first sliding surface and a second sliding surfaces. The overmold shell is molded around at least a portion of the reinforcing member to form a second slide segment with a first sliding surface and a second sliding surface. The first slide segment and the second slide segment positioned such that the first sliding surface of the second slide segment is slidable along the first sliding surface of the first slide segment and the second sliding surface of the second slide segment slidable along the second sliding surface of the first slide segment to control the sliding of the first slide segment and the second slide segment relative to one another.Type: GrantFiled: June 7, 1999Date of Patent: December 12, 2000Assignee: Jonathan Manufacturing Corp.Inventor: Robert Carl Bryson

Patent number: 5951132Abstract: Disclosed is a multi-section slide assembly comprising a plurality of rails slidably mounted to one another. A rail controller is configured to control the slidability of the rails relative to one another. The rail controller is advantageously mounted in a press-fit fashion to one of the rails. The rail controller comprises a body having an alignment member extending outward from a mating surface for positioning the rail controller on the rail. A pair of interlock members are attached to the main body and are configured to be mounted between roll forms of one of the rails. Advantageously, the interlock members are configured to flex toward one another to reduce the width of the main body during mounting.Type: GrantFiled: November 18, 1997Date of Patent: September 14, 1999Assignee: Jonathan Manufacturing Corp.Inventor: Paul Cirocco
