Patent number: 9815629Abstract: A belt link for removing material from between the run and the return portions of a conveyor belt moving along a first trajectory. The belt link may include a first substantially planar plate member including first and second substantially parallel edges and first and second hinge knuckles at the first and second edges, respectively, the plate member forming at least a first pass through slot between the edges with the first hinge knuckle leading as the belt moves along the first trajectory. The belt link may further include a cleat including first and second rigid cleat members. The belt link may still further include a cap member extending between distal ends of the first and second cleat members to close off a cavity formed between the first and second rigid cleat members. The second cleat member may form at least one drain opening.Type: GrantFiled: April 13, 2015Date of Patent: November 14, 2017Assignee: JORGENSEN CONVEYORSInventor: Paul Pribyl

Patent number: 9254960Abstract: A conveyor system for controlling two conveyer belts with a single motor comprises a housing including at least one inclined section. A first conveyor belt is operably connected to a drive pulley and a first idler pulley. A second conveyor belt is operably connected to a second and third idler pulley. A drive unit includes a motor in communication with the drive pulley and a first and a second sprocket. A roller chain extends between the drive pulley, the sprockets, and the third idler pulley, wherein the roller chain causes the drive pulley and the sprockets to rotate in one of a clockwise and a counterclockwise manner and the third idler pulley to rotate in the other of a clockwise and the counterclockwise manner.Type: GrantFiled: June 19, 2013Date of Patent: February 9, 2016Assignee: JORGENSEN CONVEYORSInventor: Paul Pribyl

Patent number: 6835315Abstract: An apparatus for removing solids from a liquid/solid mixture disposed in a tank and rising to a mixture level, the apparatus including a suction assembly defining a suction opening, the suction assembly linked to a vacuum that causes suction at the opening, a support assembly formed about the suction surface including first and second essentially circular housing walls having wall edges and a filter belt loop sealed to the edges and sized such that the belt is slack and subject to deformation between the edges, a belt section disposed to cover the suction opening and a processor controlling a motivator to periodically alter belt position with respect to the suction opening.Type: GrantFiled: September 16, 2002Date of Patent: December 28, 2004Assignee: Jorgensen Conveyors, Inc.Inventors: Robert J. Fox, Keith K. Nelson

Patent number: 6407523Abstract: A clearing method for use with a conveyor belt driven by a reversible motor for essentially automatically eliminating swarf or other obstructions along the belt including an clearing process including sensing motor load and comparing sensed load to a maximum load, when the sensed load exceeds the maximum, performing a clearing process for a predetermined time period calculated to, given the clearly process, clear the obstruction.Type: GrantFiled: October 25, 2000Date of Patent: June 18, 2002Assignee: Jorgensen Conveyors, Inc.Inventor: Kenneth N. Allan

Patent number: 6135268Abstract: A clearing method for use with a conveyor belt driven by a reversible motor for essentially automatically eliminating swarf or other obstructions along the belt including an clearing process including sensing motor load and comparing sensed load to a maximum load, when the sensed load exceeds the maximum, stopping the belt, reversing the belt, stopping the belt again and driving the belt forward, and repeating this process until the obstruction is eliminated or a predetermined number of clearing processes have been performed. Also an apparatus for implementing the method including an inverter.Type: GrantFiled: May 19, 1998Date of Patent: October 24, 2000Assignees: Mazak Corporation, Jorgensen Conveyors, Inc.Inventors: Jimmie D. Patent number: 4473151Abstract: A side wing for a hinged metal belt conveyor is disclosed which has a diagonal offset for overlapping of adjacent side wings. The side wings are mounted on the extending ends of hinged rods journaled in openings in the lower corners of the side wings. The lower corners are each formed as an arc of a circle having its center at the center of an opening. The bottom edge of the side wing has a profile either of a straight line which lies at a distance from the center of the openings which is less than the radius of the arc, or which has the arc extending for some distance from a point below the center of the opening towards the other opening of the side wing. Such modified profile of the bottom edge reduces interference with adjacent side wings when the belt turns a corner.Type: GrantFiled: May 25, 1983Date of Patent: September 25, 1984Assignee: Jorgensen Conveyors, Inc.Inventor: Robert Kumferman
