Abstract: A bearing apparatus is disclosed which has a first attaching member secured to a fixed portion, a flexible member, a second attaching member secured to a rotary portion, the flexible member being attached to the first and second attaching members, and a flexible portion formed on the flexible member. In this case, the neutral plane of the flexible portion includes the rotary axis of the rotary portion and the center in the lengthwise direction of the flexible portion coincides with the rotary axis of the rotary portion.
