Abstract: A tip member for a coating tool in the form of a stick, wherein the stick is formed of a bundle of resin-treated fibers substantially uniformly stretched in the longitudinal direction of the fibers. One end of the stick is tapered to the tip with the fibers being unraveled to unbind the fibers in that area. One or more longitudinal grooves may be formed in the surface of the stick.

Abstract: The invention provides a method and an apparatus which assure a sustained vaporization of deodorants, perfumes, pest control agents and other substances intended to modify, condition on otherwise alter the atmosphere. A tape comprising a base material and, as supported thereon, at least one active substance which vaporizes at ambient temperature or under heating in a condition in which its vaporization is inhibited is driven relative to a head which is adapted to remove the inhibition of vaporization, whereby the active substance is vaporized at a constant rate.
