Abstract: There is provided a self driving energy direct conversion system capable of restricting global warming by using a recycle-type and open-system thermoelectric effect device which uses a natural heat energy (reusable, non polluting, and omnipresent) and which is capable of obtaining an energy source. With a group of Peltier effect elements separated at a certain distance and a group of Seebeck effect elements separated at a certain distance, a heat energy transfer section, a power generator section, and an electrolysis section are provided. Making artificially a heat energy transfer, an electric potential energy conversion, and a chemical potential energy source (of a hydrogen gas and an oxygen gas) allows use of the heat energy, an electric power and a chemical potential energy. Hereinabove, the chemical potential energy source is made by a water electrolysis circuit using water that is easy to pressurize, compress, store, accumulate and convey.

  • Patent number: 7214412
Abstract: When exposing a sample to be oxidized 10 to ozone gas so as to form an oxide film on the surface of the sample, an area to be oxidized is heated locally. Local heating is carried out with a light source 23 for irradiating infrared light the area to be oxidized of the sample on the susceptor 21, and heating means for heating the susceptor. Moreover, when exposing the sample to be oxidized to ozone gas, ozone gas is supplied to the sample while heating the sample under a given pressure. Said pressure is adjusted at 100–44,000 Pa, for example. The flow rate of ozone gas is adjusted, preferably, so that flow of ozone gas in a furnace 20 forms laminar flow. Moreover, it is desirable to provide a light source for emitting ultraviolet light. The light source for emitting ultraviolet light is arranged to irradiate the upstream side of the susceptor 21, for example.

  • Patent number: 6846468
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for decomposing bromate ions contained in a liquid. The method includes the sequential steps of bringing the liquid into contact with a photocatalyst; and irradiating the photocatalyst with a light ray having an energy that is not lower than that of a band gap of the photocatalyst, thereby generating a photocatalytic reaction to decompose the bromate ions. The invention further relates an apparatus for decomposing bromate ions contained in a liquid. The apparatus includes a first section for generating therein a photocatalytic reaction to decompose the bromate ions; a photocatalyst adapted to be brought into contact with the liquid in the first section; and a light source for irradiating the photocatalyst with the light ray such that the photocatalytic reaction is generated in the first section when the photocatalyst is in contact with the liquid.
