Patents Assigned to Kabushiki Kaisha Mihama
  • Patent number: 8689406
Abstract: The clamping band has a simple structure and is capable of preventing crush of an engaging claw and buckle of an inner band part, which are caused when an outer band part and the inner band part are moved close to each other to reduce an inner diameter of a band section. In the clamping band, an overriding guide is formed between the engaging claw and a second tool-catching claw of the inner band part. The overriding guide is outwardly projected to radially outwardly guide an outer end of the outer band part when the engaging claw is moved to an engage hole from a temporary engage hole.

  • Patent number: 8015672
Abstract: An upright portion of an inner band section is inserted into an elongated hole in an outer band section, and a tab stopper of the outer band section is inserted in a cutout hole on the base end side of the upright portion. As a result, a band member is temporarily held in a ring shape. When an inner and an outer pulling claw are pulled together, a fixing hole in the outer band section engages a fixing claw of the inner band section and the tab stopper engages a stopper receiving hole. This results in the band member being fixed with its diameter reduced.

  • Patent number: 6540126
Abstract: The clamping band manufacturing machine is capable of full-automatically manufacturing the clamping bands and highly increasing the manufacturing efficiency. The machine comprises a main machine part and parts feeding mechanisms. In the main machine part, a band shaping stage welds a clasp on a band section, bends the band section in an arc, and overlaps both end portions of the band section. A lever welding stage welds a lever and the overlapped portion of the band section. An examination stage measures a length of an overlapped portion of the band section and the lever material. An arc shaping stage bends the lever in an arc. A circular shaping stage expands the bent portion of the band section. A conveying mechanism synchronously conveying the band section to each of the sages, which are serially arranged. The feeding mechanisms feed the parts, e.g., the clasp, to the main machine part.

  • Patent number: 5687457
Abstract: A clamping band has a metallic band section with a first end, formed into a Y-shaped fork having a pair of fork pieces. A pair of concave sections are formed in each side edge of the band section. and are capable of accommodating the fork pieces. A clamping ear is formed by bending a part of the band section. The clamping ear is provided at a prescribed position at which both end sections of the band section are overlapped when the band section is formed into a loop. An engaging piece is provided in the vicinity of the Y-shaped fork of the band section. A first engagement hole is capable of engaging with the engaging piece. The first engagement hole is provided in the vicinity of the other end of the band section, whereby the band section is formed into the loop when the first engagement hole is engaged with the engaging piece.

  • Patent number: 5339505
Abstract: The present invention provides a band-clamping apparatus, which is capable of automatically clamping clamping bands wound. In the apparatus, a holding table holds a member to be clamped, which has been wound by the clamping band. A stopper prevents the clamping band on the member to be clamped, which has been held by the holding table, from moving, and the stopper is capable of contacting the holding pieces from the opposite side of a lever. A pushing arm turns the lever onto an outer face of a band section. A bending mechanism inwardly bends the holding pieces so as to secure the lever onto the outer face of the band section when the lever is located between the holding pieces. With the band-clamping apparatus of the present invention, manufacturing efficiency can be sharply raised, the clamping work can be executed safely, and the clamping strength can be maintain in the predetermined range.

  • Patent number: 4831863
Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed for reforming the initial shape of an approximately loop-shaped starting piece into a final prescribed loop-shape. A plurality of elongated elements such as wire rods are arranged in parallel at prescribed intervals to define a prescribed looped or cylindrical space having a first diameter. A plurality of pressing means such as pressing plates actuated by cylinders and pistons press free ends of the elongated elements to reduce the diameter of the looped space prescribed by the elongated elements to define a reduced looped space having a second diameter smaller than the first diameter. The free ends of the elongated elements are then inserted within the starting piece. The pressing means are retracted, whereby the free ends of the elongated elements contact the inner surface of the starting piece.
