Abstract: The present invention provides a photographic lighting apparatus for illuminating a photographic object in taking the object with a camera such as a television camera or an 8 mm movie camera. The photographic lighting apparatus is capable of illuminating the object practically at a fixed intensity of illumination regardless of the variation of the distance between the object and the lamp thereof by reducing the brightness of the lamp when the object is located near to the lamp and increasing the same when the object is located remotely. The brightness of the lamp is regulated by controlling the conduction angle of a thyristor connected to the lamp according to the output signal of a photometric circuit which measures the intensity of illumination of the object.

Abstract: A photoflash apparatus is disclosed in which a flash unit is selectively connected to adapter units through a coupling mechanism which includes a coupling pin in a mounting structure of one unit engaged by a slide plate in a mounting structure of the other unit. The mounting structures are resiliently stressed and interengaged in a manner such as to obtain a highly reliable and tight connection. The coupling mechanism is operable by a door of a battery compartment, or alternatively through outside actuating members, and the mechanism may be locked and unlocked as desired.

Abstract: The present invention has two photometric circuits, namely photointegrating circuits, one of them is for day light photography and other is for flash photography. Normally the photointegrating circuit for flash photography is retained inoperatable, but when a flash device is mounted on the camera of this invention, the photointegrating circuit for day light photography is made inoperatable and the photointegrating circuit for flash photography is made operatable.

Abstract: The wall-mounted dispenser for liquid soap has a separable reservoir with an outlet valve. The dispenser further includes a main body with a second outlet valve. When the reservoir is mounted to the main body, a metering chamber is defined between the two outlet valves. The dispensing function is experienced by pushing in a plunger which temporarily decreases the chamber volume and forces the main body outlet valve to open temporarily, thus dispensing a charge of liquid soap. As the plunger is released, a spring return pushes the plunger out, decreasing pressure in the metering chamber, which is equalized as the first outlet valve temporarily opens, admitting a next charge of liquid soap from the reservoir to the metering chamber. The reservoir is replaced by pushing in a resilient release, but the resilient release is preferably normally provided with a stop which must first be moved out of the way.

Abstract: An electronic flash unit is disclosed which includes one flashlamp arranged to illuminate an object from the front side thereof and another flashlamp which is rotatably mounted and arranged to direct light at an angle such as to illuminate the object after reflection. Circuitry is provided for accurately controlling the relative illumination provided by the lamps and also for obtaining the optimum total exposure.

Abstract: A computer type electronic photoflash consisting of a main photoflash unit having photoflash emission and photoflash light volume control functions and a plurality of adapters connectable thereto. Each of said adapters is used with a photographic camera for which an electronic photoflash of special make and design is to be used exclusively. Each adapter serves for relaying electrical signals between the camera and the main photoflash unit and has an electric circuit adapted for this purpose. Thus, the number of the adapters is selected to be equal to the number of different descriptions of the photographic cameras for which respective electronic photoflashes of special make and design are to be used exclusively.
