    Abstract: A hydraulic cylinder for generating vibrations which comprises: a cylinder body; a hollow piston rotatably mounted in said cylinder body; and a valve rotor rotatably engaged within said hollow piston, said valve rotor having a change-over valve portion adapted to be rotated for applying hydraulic loads to said piston alternately in axially opposite directions.
