Patent number: 8057626Abstract: A process for making a noise absorber carpet including a fabric layer portion and a resinous backing layer portion including the substantially concurrent steps of continuously feeding a softened resinous backing material from a backing resin feeder onto a backing roll to form a continuous resinous backing sheet thereon, and continuously feeding a heated continuous fabric sheet via a fabric roll onto the backing sheet continuously formed on the backing roll, wherein the backing roll includes spike depressions and perforation pins on its surface, and wherein the fabric roll is located close to the backing roll to press the fabric sheet against the backing sheet as the sheets proceed between the rolls and mold spikes and perforations on the backing sheet, the backing roll being cooled to a temperature range between 10 degrees Celsius and 50 degrees Celsius with a cooling medium to harden said spikes and perforations and provide bonding between the fabric sheet and the backing sheet.Type: GrantFiled: December 22, 2010Date of Patent: November 15, 2011Assignees: Kabushiki Kaisha Daiwa, Kabushiki Kaisha Yachiyo, Kabushiki Kaisha ShoeiInventor: Kohei Yamada

Patent number: 7883596Abstract: A noise absorber carpet comprised of a fabric layer portion and a resinous backing layer portion is provided. The fabric layer portion and the resinous backing layer portion are heat bonded with a press into the noise absorber carpet, and the press includes perforation pins and a cooling medium. The resinous backing layer portion is provided with noise absorbing perforations formed by contact with the perforation pins of the press and cooled by the cooling medium. The perforations having been cooled by the cooling medium with the press simultaneously with the bonding of the resinous backing layer portion with the fabric layer portion and the cooling of the press by the cooling medium, thereby providing for instant curing and fixation of the shape of the perforations.Type: GrantFiled: April 25, 2008Date of Patent: February 8, 2011Assignees: Kabushiki Kaisha Daiwa, Kabushiki Kaisha YachiyoInventor: Kohei Yamada

Publication number: 20030075956Abstract: In an automotive sun roof system, each of the front sliders is provided with at least three laterally extending slide shoes including a front inboard slide shoe, a rear inboard slide shoe and a front outboard slide shoe located intermediate between the inboard slide shoes with respect to a fore-and-aft direction, and the guide rail is provided with an inboard side defining an inboard guide slot and an outboard side defining an outboard guide slot adapted to receive the corresponding slide shoes, the outboard side of the guide rail being provided with a front end which is rearwardly offset from that of the inboard side of the guide rail. Thus, the front end of each guide rail is advanced as much as possible without increasing the exposure of such parts to the moisture that may drip from the fixed roof panel and/or moveable panel by taking into account the rounded shape of the opening in the fixed roof panel.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 20, 2002Publication date: April 24, 2003Applicant: Honda Giken Kogyo Kabushiki Kaisha and Yachiyo Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Michio Tamura, Masaharu Ohnishi, Tatsuya Ohara, Tatsuaki Uehara, Koichi Hotta
