Patents Assigned to Kabushikikaisha Ariyoshi Kikoshudan
  • Patent number: 5250017
Abstract: The disclosure relates to an improved automatic tool changer for use in a machining apparatus. The automatic tool changer is designed to cooperate with adapters each carrying a tool to be changed. The automatic tool changer comprises a bifurcated carrier plate and structure to traverse the carrier plate between a tool storage and the spindle of the machining apparatus. The upper tool-feeding arm of the carrier plate has two support rods extending therefrom and structure to detachably hold an adapter on the vertical support rods, and the lower tool-withdrawing arm of the carrier plate has two vertical support rods extending therefrom.

  • Patent number: 5174697
Abstract: Disclosed is an improved tool mount for a machining apparatus comprising essentially a tool holder cubic and an adapter to be detachably attached to the tool holder cubic. The tool holder cubic has a center guide projection, a notched cylindrical rod rotatably fitted in a semicircular hole of the center guide projection, and means for rotating the notched cylindrical rod. The adapter has a center slot to accept the center guide projection of the tool holder cubic, a semicircular recess made so as to allow the notched cylindrical rod to enter when it turns; and means for rotating the notched cylindrical rod to enter the semicircular recess, thereby allowing the adapter and the tool holder cubic to nest together. This arrangement permits easy and quick changing of different tools in a machining apparatus, and automatization of tool exchanging.

  • Patent number: 5154554
Abstract: Disclosed is a balancer attachment for the spindle of a machining apparatus using two primary and secondary balancers operatively coupled so as to allow the primary balancers to take major part in balancing while an associated tool traverses a short distance, and allow the secondary balancers to take major part in balancing while the tool traverses a long distance. These balancers follow circular arcs to bring their weights in the direction which is opposite to the linear displacement of a tool-carrying slide, thereby maintaining equilibrium in the rotating mass.
