  • Patent number: 9493323
Abstract: A fiber bundle guide 1 includes a cylindrical guide roller 11, a support member 12 which rotatably supports the guide roller 11, and a movable mechanical section 13 arranged between the guide roller 11 and the support member 12, so that the guide roller 11 swings in response to widthwise changes in the traveling path of the fiber bundle Y. According to this fiber bundle guide, it is possible to prevent excessive shifting of the fiber bundle Y toward one of both sides of the circumferential edge of the guider roller 11, preventing shrinking or bending of the fiber bundle Y due to the contact of the fiber bundle Y to the flange 112 of the guide roller 11, which makes it possible to guide the fiber bundle Y without causing twisting of the bundle.

  • Patent number: 5489067
Abstract: A turret type precision winder having a turret disc on which a pair of bobbin chucks are held for carrying a working bobbin and an empty bobbin, respectively. A yarn winding operation is carried out on the working bobbin to form a package while a contact pressure is being applied on the package through a pressure roller. The pressure roller is controlled to be maintained at substantially a fixed position while the bobbin chuck of the working bobbin stepwisely moves away from the pressure roller. A positional relationship between the pressure roller, the bobbin chuck and a swingable member for supporting the pressure roller is defined so that a radial component f.sub.1 of the contact pressure reduces as a package diameter increases.

  • Patent number: 5407143
Abstract: In a turret type yarn winder, a contact pressure acting on a roller bail by a yarn package is detected and used for controlling the rotation of a turret disc in accordance with the development of yarn layers on a bobbin so that the contact pressure is maintained at a predetermined value. A roller bail (5) detects a pressure acting thereon from a yarn package by a contact pressure sensor (7). If the detected contact pressure is higher than a target value, the turret disc (1) is driven in the direction to reduce the contact pressure. A driving torque of a motor (11) for driving the turret disc (1) is controlled in the normal/reverse direction by a signal corresponding to a deviation between the detected contact pressure and the target value so that the detected contact pressure coincides with the target value.

  • Patent number: 5344090
Abstract: A turret type yarn winder comprising a first detecting means (32) for detecting the arrival of an empty bobbin at a yarn-transfer position (F) and outputting a signal, a second detecting means (46) for detecting the arrival of a traverse guide (5) at one turning point and outputting a signal, a third detecting means (47) for detecting the arrival of the traverse guide (5) at another turning point and outputting a signal and a pneumatic cylinder mechanism (42-45) for axially shifting a yarn traverse cam (4a) momentarily by a predetermined distance, whereby the traverse guide can be traversed while exceeding a yarn holding device (38) on the base end of a bobbin. The respective bobbin chucks (1a, 1b) are driven by a common motor via a respective clutch mechanism (50, 167); the clutch mechanism (50, 167) being selectively maintained at one phase of either a full engagement, half engagement, or disengagement during the path of an orbital motion.

  • Patent number: 3933318
Abstract: A yarn tension control device for controlling the tension of yarn being longitudinally advanced having two movable yarn guide members with spaced guide pins alternately engaged by the longitudinally travelling yarn. One of the yarn guide members is pivotally mounted to move its guide pins across the yarn path and has a pin or roller mounted spaced from its pivot and is balanced by a balancing weight. A pivotally mounted control cam has a balancing weight and a laterally extending arm with a biasing weight adjustably positioned on the arm. The control cam has a cam profile in contact with the pin or roller on the first yarn guide member and the biasing weight biases this profile into engagement with the roller or pin to pivot the first yarn guide member in a desired direction. The portion of the arcuate cam profile nearest its pivot is concave, a middle portion thereof is nearly straight, and the portion of the cam profile furthest from the control cam pivot is convex.
