  • Patent number: 6940706
Abstract: It is acknowledged that an electric double layer capacitor is markedly superior in power density and cycle characteristics to a secondary battery. However, a higher energy density is required to apply it to a power supply of hybrid vehicle, electric vehicle or the like. The present inventors have found that a carbonaceous material containing copper or a compound of copper exhibits excellent characteristics as an electrode material for capacitor and can realize a capacitor having a large capacity. In the electrode material and the capacitor, copper or a compound of copper exists in the amount of 0.8 to 30 parts by weight calculated on the metal basis based on 100 parts by weight of the carbonaceous material, particularly preferably.

  • Patent number: 6784125
Abstract: The invention provides a thermoplastic elastomer nonwoven fabric roll that exhibits minimal longitudinal wrinkles and minimal delayed restoration when unrolled, and method and apparatus for producing the same. Thermoplastic elastomer filaments that have been melt-spun are piled on a belt conveyor thereby forming a sheet of nonwoven fabric, that is guided to a rotating roller disposed above the transportation zone of the belt conveyor and peeled off therefrom. Since minimal tension is applied to the nonwoven fabric during processing, the nonwoven fabric can be unrolled with little stretching by applying relatively little tension to the nonwoven fabric. By the method of this invention, a nonwoven fabric roll with unrolling tension of 0.25 g/cm/basis-weight or less can be formed.

  • Patent number: 6576247
Abstract: The present invention provides a sustained-release aromatic, characterized in that the aromatic comprises at least one perfume derivative as an active component selected from glycosides of perfumes, phosphoric acid ester derivatives of perfumes, amino acid derivatives of perfumes and carboxylic acid derivatives of perfumes, and contains no enzyme or acid which decomposes the perfume derivative, wherein the perfume derivative is decomposed by bacteria usually present on the skin or yeast to release a perfume component to exhibit aroma. The present invention also provides a method for the detection of micro-organisms using the aforesaid sustained-release aromatic. As the sustained-release aromatic of the present invention releases a perfume component only when it is decomposed by micro-organisms such as bacteria usually present on the skin or yeast, the amount of perfumes to be used can be extremely reduced. The sustained-release aromatic of the present invention is also excellent in keeping aroma.
