Patents Assigned to Kato Hatsujo Kaisha Limited
  • Patent number: 5277217
Abstract: A fuel interrupt/pressure release valve arrangement includes a casing mounted at an upper portion of an interior space of a fuel tank. The casing has openings for communicating the interior of the casing with an atmosphere the interior of the fuel tank. A valve housing is formed in the casing having a discharge opening at an upper end. The opening is closed by a stopper biased in a valve closing direction by a spring. A float is provided in the casing having an indentation for loosely receiving the valve housing and a through hole is formed through the float at an apex of the indentation corresponding to the position of the discharge opening of the valve housing. A protrusion formed on the float in the vicinity of the through hole so as to project in an opening direction of the valve so as to be normally in touching contact with the stopper.

  • Patent number: 5172714
Abstract: A fuel check valve assembly for an automotive vehicle fuel tank includes a valve casing having a valve seat and a float valve movably installed in the valve casing for controlling opening and closing of the valve seat. The float valve consists of a valve float and a valve head cooperative with each other to define therebetween a sealingly closed chamber. The valve head is subjected on opposite sides thereof to a pressure within the sealingly closed chamber and a pressure within the fuel tank, respectively and movable relative to the valve float in response to a pressure differential across the valve head. The valve head is forced to move relative to the valve float and away from the valve seat to open the same when the pressure differential across the valve head is larger than a predetermined value.

  • Patent number: 4727232
Abstract: End portions of first and second metal plates are overlapped with non-cured sealant interposed therebetween. Spot-welding is applied to the overlapped end portions to assure tight joining between the first and second metal plates. The joined metal plates are then coated with paint and put in an oven for not only drying the paint but also melting the sealant. During this drying process, the melted sealant flows into an entire clearance defined between the overlapped end portions of the first and second metal plates. The joined first and second metal plates are then cooled to solidify the sealant.

  • Patent number: 4586579
Abstract: A device for supporting the engine hood of a motor vehicle in its open position by means of a support rod which is formed of an elastic resin material. The support rod is pivotal at one end thereof and adapted to be inserted at the other end thereof in a recess structure which is disposed in such a manner that the axis thereof makes a predetermined angle with the axis of the support rod when the latter is free and assumes the position to support the engine hood as mentioned above.

  • Patent number: 4489967
Abstract: In a structure for removably mounting a support rod for supporting an openable closure member such as engine hood of a motor vehicle, a retainer means formed of a plastic material is provided which is attached to at least one end of the support rod. When it is attempted to support the closure member at its open position by means of the support rod, the retainer means is fitted in a mounting aperture formed in the motor vehicle.

  • Patent number: 4473217
Abstract: A fiber-reinforced resin coil spring impregnated with thermosetting resin which comprises a resin-impregnated and twisted rod-shaped fiber bundle formed by bundling a plurality of fiber wire blanks made of glass or carbon, immersing the fiber bundle and twisting the rod-shaped fiber bundle in a thermosetting resin, and forming coiled twisted rod-shaped fiber bundle from the resin-immersed and twisted rod-shaped fiber bundle. Thus, the resin coil spring incorporates large elastic energy and high load withstanding capability due to the twisting of the fiber bundle.
