Abstract: A belt-shaped woven structure formed by weaving a non-heat fusible synthetic fiber and a heat fusible synthetic fiber containing in a surface portion thereof a heat fusible component having a softening point lower by 30° C. or more than that of the non-heat fusible synthetic fiber. The heat fusible synthetic fiber is used in at least a part of weft threads forming the woven structure, so that a heat treatment on the woven structure at a temperature higher than the softening point of the heat fusible component fusion bonds the heat fusible synthetic fibers to each other or the heat fusible synthetic fiber and the non-heat fusible fiber. A method of efficiently producing the belt-shaped woven structure such as a seatbelt webbing which is capable of maintaining long-lasting lateral rigidity after repeated use, less prone to twisting, flexible and easy to handle.
Abstract: A cleaning tool includes a cord-like structure formed from yarn, that includes at least in part thereof fine fibers of which the fineness of a single fiber is 1.1 decitex or lower, entwined into a cord shape so that the ends of the fibers are not exposed to the outside of the fabric while the total surface area is from 150000 to 2500000 m2 per 1 m3 and the apparent density is from 100000 to 700000 g/m3. Such a cleaning tool is capable of cleaning the surface of an object that has irregularities and gaps even when the surface irregularities and gaps are very small.
Abstract: A core-sheath composite type monofilament for use in a screen gauze comprising the core 1 formed by a fiber-forming polymer 4 containing a material 3 having a property of absorbing light at wavelengths of 350 nm to 450 nm and the sheath 2 formed by a fiber-forming polymer 5, the core-sheath composite type monofilament having average reflectance of 15% or less to light at wavelengths of 350 nm to 450 nm, and a screen gauze using the same. The monofilament is free from strength reduction, scum generation and abrasion of related parts such as reed, and makes no difficulty in ink-release, and requires no dyeing process and thus no additional cost therefor.
Abstract: A polyester fabric having a total cover factor of not lower than 1500 and a mass per unit area of not higher than 45 g/m2, wherein said polyester fabric is composed of polyester multifilament A yarns having a total fineness of not higher than 25 dtex (decitex) and a single yarn fineness of not higher than 2.0 dtex and multifilament B yarns having a total fineness of not lower than 35 dtex, wherein the arrangements of the respective yarns in the warp and weft directions are such that the yarn constitution ratio “B yarn/A yarn” is 1/4 to 1/20 (number of yarns-to-number of yarns ratio) and wherein the A yarn-to-B yarn pitches are not longer than 7 mm. The polyester fabric is light in weight, high in density and flexible by using extra-fine polyester multifilaments finer as compared with the conventional polyester multifilaments and, at the same time, has a sufficient level of tear strength.
